TOLEDO, OH: (6-30-09): The entry lists for both the USAC National Sprint and Midget Series event at Toledo Speedway are taking shape as the Friday, July 3 race at Toledo Speedway nears. 1996 Indy 500 winning car owner, Ron Hemelgarn, and his Hemelgarn Racing Team will sponsor the race along with Super Fitness.

FLAT ROCK, MI: (6-27-09): Mike Luberda was one of the first to arrive at Flat Rock Speedway Saturday afternoon. Luberda hurried through the gates and up to the edge of the speedway as track personnel started moving equipment in place for the 2nd Annual Moran Chevrolet/Stan Yee Memorial 150, his memories going back to the one and only time he visited the track, back in the mid-1970's with his father, Mike Sr., for one of the Wednesday night Michigan Speedway Promoter's Association Late Model shows.

TOLEDO, OH: (6-26-09): Defending champ Jim Froling avoided the "big one" and sailed to victory in the 50 lap ARCA Sportsman feature Friday evening at Toledo Speedway. Speedway Tire and Auto, 7-Up and the Destination Toledo Convention and Visitors Bureau sponsored the night of racing at the Glass City oval. Shaun Mills, representing Speedway Tire, presented the trophies in the Glass Bowl Lanes Winner's Circle. ...

FLAT ROCK, MI: (6-26-09): Ann Yee, widow of Stan Yee Sr., will serve as the Grand Marshal for the Moran Chevrolet-Stan Yee Memorial 150 Saturday evening at Flat Rock Speedway. A total of 41 Late Models have pre-entered for the 150 lap contest, the biggest race of the season at the track.

Saturday's Moran Chevrolet/Stan Yee Memorial 150 marks just the second year that Flat Rock Speedway's longest Late Model race of the season has been held in memory of Stan Yee, who found success as a car owner and builder for nearly five decades before passing away in 2008. However, the history of weekly Late Model Racing at Flat Rock Speedway dates back to 1962 and this weekend's Moran Chevrolet/Stan Yee Memorial 150 marks the 14th consecutive season in which the track has contested a 150-lap Late Model feature.

FLAT ROCK, MI: (6-26-09): Two additional entries from the west side of the state of Michigan have arrived for Saturday's 2nd Annual Moran Chevrolet-Stan Yee Memorial 150 to be held at Flat Rock Speedway. Dave Stehouwer and Dave Sensiba are both entered, and with the addition of local Chris Benson and AuGres, MI driver Mike Luberda, the list now stands at 41 cars as of Friday morning.

FLAT ROCK, MI: (6-24-09): The anticipation and excitement continues to build each and every day for the prestigious Moran Chevrolet/Stan Yee Memorial 150 Saturday night, June 27 at Flat Rock Speedway. Track staff has just announced that the first 1000 fans through the front gate will receive a Legends Hero Card, picturing many of the drivers who piloted the Stan Yee #33 machines during his over 40 year career as a car builder and owner.

FLAT ROCK, MI: (6-20-09): Flat Rock Speedway received nearly 4 inches of rain overnight, flooding the track and parking lot. Track officials worked up until race time to get the speedway in shape for Big Red Crème Soda Night, and the fans were treated to a night filled with action! The 3 oval features were decided by a car length or less and a pair of contests on the Figure 8 track were packed with excitement and fender banging. Jeremy Miller, Tim Moore, James Rae, Shawn Bershback and the duo of Howard Kelley Jr. and Tom O'Leary III were feature winners.

Some 200 classic cars and hundreds of participants and spectators enjoyed great weather Thursday night at Toledo Speedway for the weekly Placers Car Club car show. Highlighting the evening's activities was the featured performance by Elvis impersonator Bob Rosencrantz. TOLEDO, OH: (6-18-09): After a one year absence, the United States Auto Club (USAC) will return to Toledo Speedway for an open-wheel doubleheader featuring both the National Sprint Car and Midget Series. FLAT ROCK, MI: (6-13-09): A dismal-looking day ended in sunshine and a packed house for the Marco's Pizza School Bus Figure 8 races Saturday evening at Flat Rock Speedway. Jeff Kurzyniec scored the victory in the wild Bus race, Dave Arnold Jr. topped the Factory Stock feature, Chance Rice notched the win in the Michigan Legends race, Shawn Bershback was victorious in the 4 Cylinder show and Lonnie York thrilled the crowd with his win in the Rollover contest.
