TOLEDO, OH: (9-29-09): Drive Train Specialists (DTS) of Warren, MI has bolstered their involvement with this Saturday's Glass City 200 Late Model invitational presented by AP Motorsports at Toledo Speedway by adding an extra $500 in certificates to their already-posted $300 in awards. DTS also is the sponsor of the last-chance race for the 21st running of the 200 lap classic at the ½ mile paved oval.

The addition of the division for the Saturday, October 3 event will see practice, qualifying and feature races for the group, with all their action on the ¼ mile paved oval.

TOLEDO, Ohio (September 28, 2009)--The deadline for submitting the Driven Women Scholarship application is extended to October 10, 2009. Two scholarships in the amount of $500 each will be awarded at the November 6 Flat Rock/Toledo Speedway Championship Awards Banquet.

The track has also announced that Sylvania-Jackman Auto Credit Center of Franklin Park has signed on to sponsor Friday's pre-race party at the Speedway Bar and Grille.

TOLEDO, OH: (9-18-09): The beautiful weather conditions of the past 2 weeks held up at Toledo Speedway Friday evening for the Wendy's Hamburgers Night of Destruction. And the huge crowd that made the trip to the Glass City track was treated to a great night of fun and excitement, capped off by the hard-hitting, slam-bang School Bus Figure 8 race. Troy Herrmann captured the main event. Wendy greeted the fans and was busy with giveaways and entertaining the crowd with track announcer Gary Lindahl the entire night.

1980-SENNEKER AND MALCUIT GRAB TOLEDO BIG BUCKS

Perennial favorite Bob Senneker and "Captain Sizzle" Mark Malcuit each posted $5000 victories by taking the 150-lap segments of the season-ending Gabriel 300 at Toledo Speedway. Track promoter Sonny Adams greeted the joyous winners on-track, paying each driver in fresh $100 bills in front of the huge, enthusiastic crowd on a beautiful fall Sunday afternoon.

FLAT ROCK, MI: (9-12-09): A standing-room only crowd packed Flat Rock Speedway Saturday night for the Grillers Select BBQ Sauce School Bus Figure 8 race show. Perfect weather greeted teams and fans and a great night of racing action, coupled with the destruction of the school buses capped off the event. Costa Cardasis of Grillers Select greeted the race winners with a case of bbq sauce and trophies, while providing numerous prizes for the lucky number program drawing.

1970-TOM BOWSHER CLAIMS FIRST EVER ARCA NEW CAR WIN

Tom Bowsher, brother of 3-time ARCA Series champion Jack Bowsher, wheeled his Ford to his career first victory at Toledo Speedway. Bowsherr led a majority of the 100-lap event on the high banked oval and survived a race-long duel with veteran Iggy Katona, who was 2^nd. The race ended under caution, as Ross Smith blew a radiator hose on his Chevy Camaro and slammed into the fourth turn wall.

FLAT ROCK, MI: (9-5-09): The Diamond Racing Products Season Championships Saturday night at Flat Rock Speedway saw Eric Lee, Dan Ford Jr., Dennis Whisman-Billy Earley and rookie Anthony Camilli claim their respective track titles. Feature winners for the night were Ricky Kargel, Dennis Strickland, Greg Studt and Lonnie York. A fantastic fireworks display by the Volcano Fireworks Company concluded the evening. ...

This has been a season of people returning to victory lane after a long absence. Dennis Strickland and Randy Cornett in the Street Stocks ... and Saturday night, Stan Yee Jr., won his first Super Late Model feature since April 2004.
