Toledo/Flat Rock Bulletin (3-22-10)

(3-22-10) - This is the last of our winter bulletins.  Flat Rock office will re-open April 7 (weather permitting). Please share this bulletin with those who do not use the computer!

RULES:  As mentioned in all classes, we will clamp down on the muffler/noise issue.....NO exceptions.  **Try to make it to the pre-season practices-get your car through tech, avoid the lines....we will NOT wait on opening night for you to get through tech.    IF we have weather issues, we will continue to tech cars as long as there is a line.

DIVISION SPONSORS:  We welcome DTS Drive Train Specialists as the sponsor of the Street Stock class, and the return of Moran Chevrolet for the FR Late Models and Allegiant Air for the Gold Cup Series.

BOWLING TOURNAMENTTHIS SUNDAY, MARCH 28 -the 2nd annual Flat Rock/Toledo Bowling Tournament is at 2:30 p.m., at the Glass Bowl Lanes on Telegraph Road in Toledo, about 2 miles from the track.  It will be part of their Super 9 Tournament.  Call Scott at Toledo to make a reservation.  Last year we had about 25-30 bowlers, and a couple even cashed in on the tournament!

TOLEDO OPENERS:  Sat. April 17, ASA North Late Model Series and ARCA Late Model Gold Cup
Series (75 laps); promoted by ASA.  Optional practice Friday, April 16 and season-opening party at Bar and Grille Friday night.  Friday:  Pits at 10, practice 1-5:30; Saturday, pits at 8:30, practice at 10 a.m., time trials at 12:30, racing at 3 p.m.  Rain date is Sunday.  Pit passes are $30 each day for members, $35 for non-members. 

Friday night opener is Friday, April 30. TOLEDO pre-season practice session is Sunday, April 25, 12-5 p.

Driver's uniforms:  A request is being made for drivers to have ARCA patch on your uniform.  A patch comes with your membership package.  It will be to your benefit to do this.....

FLAT ROCK OPENER:  Saturday, April 24.  LATE MODELS:  You are back to 10 races this season.

Pre-season FR practices:  Sunday, April 18, noon to 5; Wednesday, April 21, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

LATE MODEL GOLD CUP: has 5 point races; 3 races at Toledo, 2 at Flat Rock, same at 2009.  First Gold Cup race is EARLY...Sat. April 17 at Toledo!  Glass City is again an invitational.   Gold Cup entries have been mailed and is posted under "Forms" on the website.

Car Numbers:  We will try to work with everyone....we will hold your 2009 number for first 3 weeks of the season...you can call if you will be out later in the season and we will work with you.  No communication makes it very difficult...stay in touch with us on this.  IF you need a new number, call us!

Pad Rentals:  Have been sent.  2009 renters will have right of first refusal, but must be paid by the due date or you lose your pad.  Be sure to save $$ by paying before the deadline!  We have pads open at both tracks-call us!

Season tickets/gift cards/ARCA wearables:  Are now on sale!  Call us at the office.  Gift cards are $25 each!

ENDURO RACING:  Entries/rules have been mailed.  The four (4) Enduro races at Flat Rock will again be on Saturday nights in 2010.  First one is Saturday, May 29.  Enduro Championship race is 300 laps!

2010 banquet:  is set for Friday, November 5 at Crystal Gardens in Southgate, MI.

TIRES:  As announced, prices remain same as last year:  LM's-$125 each, Hoosier Sportsman-$100 each. 

Tires will be available on Thursdays at both tracks, starting April 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

FUEL:  Price to be announced; it will be Sunoco again this year.

PIT PASSES: Also remain same for our races:  $20 member, $30 non-member for our weekly shows....membership prices are also the same.  As you can see, we have held the line on prices for 2010.

SCHEDULE CHANGES:  ARCA Sportsman cars will run a 50 lap feature Friday, July 30.  The CRA Sportsman cars will compete on Glass City 200 weekend.  ARCA Sportsman cars will be legal to run with them.  More details later (see website for news release). 

TRACK RENTALS:  Tracks are available, minimum 4 hour blocks.  Cost same as 2009.

FACTORY STOCKS to use RACECEIVERS:  Factory Stock drivers have been notified we will use raceceivers this season.  They are $90 each and include earbuds.  A payment plan of $10 per week has been set up.  Figure 8, Street Stock and Sportsman drivers are also welcome to take part in this program.  They will be available after April 1.  Call Scott at Toledo to order yours today!
