UNIVERSITY OF TOLEDO MARCHING BAND TO PERFORM IN PRE-RACE SHOW
TOLEDO, OH: (7-28-09): In a little more than a month, the superspeedway-style stock cars of the ARCA RE/MAX Series will make the trip to Toledo Speedway for the ARCA 200 presented by Belle Tire. The date is Friday evening, September 4, marking the first RE/MAX event under the lights at Toledo in 3 years. Tickets are now on sale for the event, which includes the University of Toledo Marching Band as part of the pre-race activities.

Current point leader Parker Kligerman and Justin Lofton continue to battle the 2009 title, while 9-time series champion Frank Kimmel sits in third going into the August 1 event at Pocono, PA.  The ARCA RE/MAX Series features a wide variety of talent and diversity in terms of drivers and race tracks.  From the superspeedways to the short tracks to the fairgrounds dirt tracks in Illinois, the tour provides action-packed, side by side racing.

Reserved seat tickets are now on sale by calling the track office at 419-727-1100.  VISA and Mastercard are accepted for phone orders.  The reserved section at Toledo features plenty of leg room and backrests on the bench-style seats, and is located directly at the start-finish line.  "Our reserved section is small, but it is the best seat in the house," noted Scott Schultz, General Manager of the track.  Reserved seating is $25 each in advance and $27 the day of the event.

Race fans and the race teams are in for a treat September 4 when the University of Toledo Marching Band returns for the pre-race show.  The appearance by the band marks the return for the group for the first time in 3 years.  "When the band marches into the speedway through the front gates and onto the track, it really picks up the excitement level," Schultz said.  "We are very pleased to have the UT Band back at Toledo Speedway this season."

Practice for the ARCA RE/MAX Series 200 presented by Belle Tire begins at 2 p.m. Friday afternoon.  Menards Pole qualifying begins at 5, with an on-track autograph session set for 6:45.  The pre-race activities begin at 7:45 and the green flag drops at 8:30 p.m.  A rain date of Saturday, September 5 at 1 p.m. has been established.

Toledo Speedway is located on the Michigan-Ohio border at the Alexis Road exit, exit 210 off of I-75.
