A good crowd sat through the rain that began just after qualifying at 7 p.m. The BCSN/Tim Hortons/Toledo Blade season opener started 20 minutes late and was pushed along as quickly as possible.

TOLEDO, OH  (5-15-09)--  With the thoughts of his uncle Terry Gibson riding along with him, Zach Gibson put on a show for the fans Friday night at Toledo Speedway.  Zach powered his way to the win in the 30 lap Buckeye 305 Super Sprint feature Friday night on Western Lake Erie Insulation Industry-Local 45 Night in front of a good crowd, despite another Friday night of rain and threatening weather.  The show was halted for about 20 minutes while the track dried, but the rain held off long enough to complete the race card.  All kids to age 14 were admitted free and received a free hot dog, chips and a drink, courtesy of Sherwood Foods, Seyfert’s Potato chips and the Dr. Pepper/Snapple Group.

TOLEDO, OH (8-22-2008)--  Jim Froling capped off a great season, with his runner-up finish in the feature sealing the deal for the 2008 ARCA National City Bank Sportsman championship Friday night at Toledo Speedway.  Ron Allen won the 50 lap Tim Hortons Season point finale.  Feature winners Josh Bunting, Kevin Little, Mike Bershback and Tyler Rycenga also visited the New Glass Bowl Lanes Winner’s Circle.  Dennis Stilwell, representing Tim Hortons, presented the trophies to the winners.

TOLEDO, OH (9-11-2008)--  2006 race winner John Doering has filed his entry for the 20^th Anniversary of the Miller Lite Glass City 200, set for Saturday, September 20 at Toledo Speedway.  Hastings, MI driver Joe Bush, also expected to be a contender for the win, has also entered this year’s edition of the Late Model invitational, which has been set for 150 laps for 2008.  A cash purse of over $55,000 has been posted, with 200 laps of feature racing planned for the evening.

TOLEDO, OH  (8-25-2008)--  Due to the soft economy, the 20^th running of the Miller Lite Glass City 200, set for Saturday, September 20, will see a change for this season.  The Late Model invitational, which has been a 200 lap contest, will now become a 150 lap feature race for this year.  Ticket prices have been reduced $5 each and pit passes will also see a $5 reduction.  A cash purse of over $55,000 is up for grabs for the fall classic at the ½ mile paved oval.
