The A division Street Stock ran their annual 100-lap feature. Tadek Stadniczuk won his second feature of the year. “I can’t believe I won! (FLAT ROCK, Michigan - August 25, 2012) - Flat Rock Speedway hosted Action Exteriors Kids Night Saturday, with all kids to age 14 admitted to the track free, and each child received a free hot dog, chips and a drink, courtesy of Jim’s Butcher Shop, Sherwood Foods, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group and Herr’s Potato Chips.  A nice crowd turned out for a great night of racing and entertainment as Jerry Lee Jr., Tim Moore, Lonnie York and Jeff Wells Jr. took the feature wins.  Ray McClure secured the ARCA 4 Cylinder championship at the ¼ mile paved oval.  The TKC Go-Karts also competed in an exhibition race prior to the start of the show.

Toledo, Ohio—November 12, 2012:  A handful of rules, allowing several types of race cars and merging them into 1 class is what the “X” Cars are all about.  And for the 2013 season, Toledo Speedway will put the class into action for their weekly Friday night race cards.  The announcement was formally made at the track’s annual awards banquet November 9.

The division will join the ARCA Figure 8’s and 4 Cylinders, making for 3 separate classes of competition on Toledo’s short track in the coming year.  While the ARCA Street Stock class will not be part of the 2013 Toledo schedule, the division will be able to run as part of the X Car class.

With a basic set of rules, including safety, the division should see a mix of Street Stock, Enduro, Figure 8 and the former Factory Stock cars in competition, all as 1 class.  A point system will be in place for the group.  The complete set of specifications for the division will be announced prior to the holiday season.

“We contemplated going to a more relaxed set of rules that would allow more cars to compete in 1 class,” stated Ron Drager, owner and promoter of the track.  “Toledo’s short track is a good match for the X Car class, giving a variety of cars the option to race on Friday nights, and hopefully putting a full field of cars on the track.  We believe the X Car option provides that opportunity.”

Track management has also put down an experimental patch of sealer on the short track, with the goal of reducing the amount of grit on the surface, yet still retaining traction.  A test was conducted November 10, with promising results.  The season will begin with the test patch in place and a decision on sealing the entire small track will be made after consulting with the drivers.

TOLEDO, Ohio (January 21, 2010)--It's track announcer Gary Lindahl's classic line, "Look Out!" when the ARCA Figure 8's zip in and out of the intersection. Lindahl will have more of those blaring over the microphone as the increasing popularity of the Figure 8 Train races has prompted Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway management to schedule 7 of the events for the 2010 racing season.

Hugh J. Fair, 84, who raced in the ARCA Late Model division at Toledo and Flat Rock Speedways, and whose son Harold Fair and grandson Harold Fair Jr. are ARCA Late Model drivers at both tracks, died Tuesday Feb. 16.

Hugh Fair was the 1961 Modified Champion at Flat Rock Speedway and drove the #104 ARCA Late Model through the 1960s with top-15 points finishes in 1962, 1963, 1967 and 1969, when he finished 7^th.

(FLAT ROCK, Mich. - August 28, 2010) - One of the largest crowds of the season filed into Flat Rock Speedway for the UAW Local 3000 Kid's Night promotion Saturday evening at Flat Rock Speedway.  With perfect weather conditions and a week of seasonable weather, the track proved to be extremely fast for all 3 classes.  Paul Pelletier and Jeremy Vanderhoof held onto their point leads with their wins, while Josh Bunting scored his first-ever Flat Rock victory.  Veteran Lonnie York also joined the win parade Saturday night.
