STRICKLAND, VANDOORN ENTER GREAT LAKES HELICOPTER GLASS CITY 200

(Toledo, Ohio - September 6, 2013) - Recently-crowned Flat Rock Speedway champ Dennis Strickland and Coopersville, MI hotshoe Johnny VanDoorn are the first 2 entries for 25th Anniversary  of the Great Lakes Helicopter Glass City 200 presented by Francis Engineering, Woodville Auto Finance, Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn Express, set for Saturday, September 28 at Toledo Speedway.

Last weekend, Strickland notched his 2nd ARCA Late Model title at Flat Rock, Toledo’s sister track.  Dennis has been very strong at Toledo this season in his #90, finishing second and third in the last 2 ARCA Late Model Gold Cup events at the big ½ mile paved oval.

VanDoorn, a 3-time ARCA/CRA Super Series powered by Jeg’s champion, like Strickland, will be looking for his initial Glass City 200 victory.  Johnny was fourth at Toledo in the Miller Lite 100 in August at Toledo, and is one of the hottest template Late Model drivers in the country.  VanDoorn, in his Port City Racecars entry, is in line to collect a $100,000 bonus with a win in the ARCA/CRA Winchester 400 at Winchester, IN Speedway in October.  The bonus is for the Triple Crown, with wins at Berlin, MI Raceway and Anderson, IN Speedway putting Johnny in the hunt for the huge bonus, courtesy of Jeg’s Performance.
