LATE MODELS PREPARING FOR DIAMOND RACING PRODUCTS JOY FAIR MEMORIAL AT FLAT ROCK SATURDAY
(FLAT ROCK, Michigan - June 18, 2012) - A total of 23 cars have entered as of Monday morning for this Saturday’s 1st annual Joy Fair Memorial 100. Bob Fox of Diamond Racing Products, a former competitor of Fair’s, has graciously stepped forward to sponsor this special event. With the blessing of Joy’s family, Flat Rock Speedway will honor the memory of Joy Fair with this race.
...1975 GLASS CITY 200 WINNER JIM BICKERSTAFF-FIRST BUCKEYE TO WIN CLASSIC
In 1968, Toledo Speedway promoter and ARCA founder John Marcum came up with the idea of running a 200 lap Late Model invitational—the Glass City 200. Despite a 20-year hiatus of the race from 1978-1998 (when the Toledo track was sold), the race was revived in 1999 when Marcum’s grandson, Ron Drager, purchased the track with business partner Roy Mott.
And the race still carries the prestige and notoriety that it once did back in the 1960’s and 1970’s.
For the first time in several years, the Glass City 200 overall champion did not win one of the 100 lap segments. But 1975 champ Jim Bickerstaff (#24) displayed great strength as he battled 2 of Michigan’s legendary short track kings, Joy Fair and Bob Senneker. Jim became the first Ohio driver to win the Glass City 200….
...Pelletier-Loving-Ford Jr-Rae Tops at Flat Rock
FLAT ROCK, MI: (8-15-09): A large crowd turned out to meet NASCAR driver David Ragan Saturday night as part of the Leppen Chiropractic/United Way of Monroe County Night at Flat Rock Speedway. Ragan spoke to the crowd and signed autographs for over an hour. On the track, Paul Pelletier, Robbie Loving, Dan Ford Jr. and Jimmy Rae notched feature wins. Former racers were introduced to the crowd and several vintage race cars took laps prior to the start of the race card. A large contingent of firefighters from Monroe County was on hand as guests of the speedway.
...ARCA RE/MAX Series Drivers, Teams to Bowl for Charity in Toledo
TOLEDO, Ohio (August 28, 2009)-There will be a charity fundraiser/bowling tournament on Thursday, September 3 from 7-9:30 p.m. at New Glass Bowl Lanes in Toledo, Ohio (5133 Telegraph Rd, Toledo, OH 43612).
Meet ARCA RE/MAX Series top-10 point contenders, including Parker Kligerman, Justin Lofton, Tom Hessert, Patrick Sheltra, Joey Coulter and more! Toledo Walleye Hockey Coach Nick Vitucci will also be in attendance.

1970-TOM BOWSHER CLAIMS FIRST EVER ARCA NEW CAR WIN
Tom Bowsher, brother of 3-time ARCA Series champion Jack Bowsher, wheeled his Ford to his career first victory at Toledo Speedway. Bowsherr led a majority of the 100-lap event on the high banked oval and survived a race-long duel with veteran Iggy Katona, who was 2nd. The race ended under caution, as Ross Smith blew a radiator hose on his Chevy Camaro and slammed into the fourth turn wall.

TOLEDO, OH: (9-15-09): The next crop of young stars in asphalt Late Model racing have filed the latest entries for the 21st running of the Glass City 200 Late Model invitational presented by AP Motorsports, set for Saturday night, October 3 at Toledo Speedway. Entries for Chad Finley, Steve Cronenwett Jr., Jake Francis and Tom O'Leary IV have been received.

Veteran Dave Kuhlman claimed the huge victory after years of frustration in this race, which featured outstanding racing action and a pair of sensational long green flag runs.

Changes Announced to Toledo Speedway Fastest Short Track Show in the World
TOLEDO, Ohio (January 25, 2010)-- Due to economic, travel and scheduling issues, Toledo Speedway's annual "Fastest Short Track Show in the World" featuring an open-wheel doubleheader of supermodified and winged sprint competition will see a change in the lineup of tours participating in the June 11, 2010 event. The International Super Modified Association (ISMA) Series will not return but the Midwest Supermodified Association (MSA)/Oswego Winged Challenge Series will join the Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper Winged Super Sprints for the popular event.

Barbara passed away on Tuesday, February 2. Viewing will be held at the Rudy Funeral Home (26560 Van Dyke Ave., Center Line, Michigan 48015) on Thursday, February 4, 2010 from 1 p.m.-9 p.m. with Scriptures at 7 p.m. A funeral will be held on Friday, February 5 at St. Clement Church (25320 Van Dyke Ave., Center Line, Michigan, 48015). Jim Forsythe Passes.....
Jim Forsythe, a crewman for ARCA Figure 8 driver Dennis Whisman for 17 years, passed away Tuesday, March 2 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Visitation is at the Bobcean Funeral Home in Flat Rock, MI Friday, March 5, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
...Flat Rock Street Stock Champ Stocker Passes
Long time Flat Rock Speedway ARCA Street Stock driver Jim Stocker passed away Wednesday, March 3. Stocker faithfully made the long tow from his home in Clarkston to race weekly at Flat Rock for some 20 years, resulting in two ARCA Street Stock B Main championships and many B Main feature wins at the wheel of his car #46. Stocker had recently been diagnosed with cancer and suffered a fatal heart attack. Per his wishes, there will be no memorial and cremation has taken place.
...Allegiant Air Gold Cup Late Model Entries Out For Toledo Opener April 17
Hantz Enters Allegiant Air Gold Cup Event for Apr 17 Toledo Opener; ASA/ARCA Double Header
TOLEDO OH (3-22-10) - Pleasant Lake, IN driver Scott Hantz, arguably the hottest Midwest Late Model driver in 2009, has filed his entry for the season-opening ARCA Allegiant Air Gold Cup race at Toledo Speedway Saturday, April 17. The race will be part of a Late Model double-header that will be headlined by the ASA North Late Model Series.
ASA will promote the event to kick off the 2010 racing season at the Glass City oval. The ASA cars will run a 125 lap main event, while the ARCA Late Models will battle in heat races, a last-chance race (if necessary) and a 75 lap feature on the big, fast ½ mile paved oval.
...Moran Chevrolet Returns to Sponsor Flat Rock Late Models; DTS Backs Street Stocks; Allegiant Air
FLAT ROCK MI (3-25-10) - For the fourth consecutive season, Moran Chevrolet will serve as the sponsor of the ARCA Late Model class at Flat Rock Speedway. Pat Moran has confirmed the sponsorship at a recent meeting with track officials.
The Moran Automotive Group, which consists of the Moran Chevrolet dealership on Gratiot Avenue in Clinton Township and the Moran Cadillac-GMC outlet in Ft. Gratiot, MI, has supported both Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways by sponsoring 2-time Flat Rock Late Model champion Dick Barker for a number of years prior to their support of the Flat Rock Late Models.
