McCUNE, DeCAIRE NOTCH FASTEST SHORT TRACK SHOW IN WORLD TOLEDO WINS
(TOLEDO, Ohio - June 14, 2013) - A huge crowd witnessed a great night of open wheel racing at
the 2013 version of the All American Coach/Super Fitness/Hemelgarn Racing
Fastest Short Track Show in the World Friday night at Toledo Speedway. Hometown star Jimmy McCune flew to victory in
the non-stop 40 lap MSA Super Modified feature, while Tampa, Florida native Troy
DeCaire etched his name in the record books, grabbing the win in the 30 lap Auto
Value/Bumper to Bumper Super Sprint (AVBBSS) main event.
Tom McGuire
and his family from All American Coach and Super Fitness boss Ron Hemelgarn
presented the 5 foot trophies to the winners in the Sun Drop Victory Circle.
A total of
24 Sprints and 18 Super Modifieds made the trip to Toledo for this
one-of-a-kind event, created by Toledo management 13 years ago. Zach Gibson tagged the turn 1 wall in
practice when his Super Mod lost a right rear wheel, ending his night. Earlier in Sprint car practice, 2012 race
winner Jason Cox had an axle snap, sending his machine spinning into the turn 3
wall. Both drivers took hard hits but

RAIN LEAVES-NOT THE FANS AT FLAT ROCK

Dennis Strickland captured the 50 lap ARCA Moran Chevrolet Late Model feature, while Dennis Whisman took top honors in the Parts Galore Figure 8 race.
An incredibly wild and destructive night had the crowd roaring as Jeff King and the field bounced off of abandoned boats and trailers to win the Boat Figure 8 race. After the flag, Jeff slammed his machine over the top of a boat and blasted it into pieces, again to thunderous applause and cheers. A total of 3 buses went over on their sides in perhaps the wildest School Bus Figure 8 race in memory at "The Rock". Ray Gaddis survived to claim the checkered flag.

Tire Bulletin
June 20, 2013
To: ARCA Late Model teams
Re: Toledo Late Model tires
On Wednesday, June 5, Hoosier Tire conducted a tire test at Toledo Speedway for the ARCA Late Models. Irish Saunders, Asphalt Product Manager for Hoosier, conducted the test. Ken Kolter, lead engineer and his staff were also present at the test.
The cars of JR Roahrig, #16, John VanDoorn, #61, and Dennis Strickland, #90, took part in the day-long test session.
3 combinations of tires were tested:
F45/Star 56
3035/3045
F40/F50
After reviewing all test data, Hoosier has determined that the F40 left side and F50 right side tires are the proper tire for Toledo Speedway Late Models at this current time.
“The Hoosier F40/F50 combination is a proven tire and the best fit for Toledo,” said Saunders. “The tire will be consistent and durable.”
Tires will be available at both the ARCA office and Toledo Speedway Monday, July 1.
*An open test is being planned for Friday, July 5. There will be no pit pass fees for Late Model teams. The plan is to open at 3:30, the Late Models will have the track from 4:30-5:15 and from 6:45-7:15. We are running our weekly show that night also. *We plan to have some used F40/F50 tires here at the track for use on July 5 that will be available at no charge.
*Teams planning to test July 5 must contact Scott or Casey at Toledo at 419-727-1100 prior to the test.
Thank you,
Ron Drager
