ASA North, ARCA Late Model Gold Cup to Open Toledo April 17

TOLEDO, OHIO (November 19, 2009)--Toledo Speedway will open its 2010 racing season with a Late Model doubleheader Saturday, April 17, featuring the ASA North Late Models and the ARCA Gold Cup Late Models. Ron Varney, President of ASA Late Models, will serve as the promoter of the event. The rain date is Sunday afternoon, April 18.

The stock-body ASA Late Models have kicked off Toledo's schedule for the past 4 years, and the 2010 edition of the event will see the track's own ARCA outlaw-bodied cars join ASA for a big day of Late Model action on the ½ mile, high-banked paved oval.  The date marks the first time the 2 groups have teamed up for a race date at Toledo.

An open-practice session is slated for Friday, April 16.  The complete schedule, in addition to much more information for the weekend will be announced at a later date.

ASA information is available at http://www.asalatemodels.com/.  Toledo's 2010 schedule, as well as Flat Rock Speedway's new schedule, is expected to be released prior to the holidays.  Go to http://www.toledospeedway.com/ or http://www.flatrockspeedway.com/
