ARCA Fan Fest Delivering Fun for Fans of All Ages

(TOLEDO, Ohio - October 13, 2011) - ARCA Fan Fest is back at Toledo Speedway, giving race fans of all ages the chance to enjoy numerous fun activities and interactive displays over a special championship weekend.

Championship Weekend at Toledo Speedway is a unique motorsports doubleheader, featuring the USAC TRAXXAS Silver Crown Series season finale on Saturday, October 15, and the year's final race for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards on Sunday, October 16.

Positioned in the parking lot outside the track and just steps away from the weekend's exciting racing action, the annual ARCA Fan Fest is designed as a family- and fan-friendly motorsports promotion, allowing ARCA fans to interact with drivers, teams, and sponsors at ARCA's home track.

"The ARCA Fan Fest has been tremendously popular with fans, sponsors, and our competitors the last seven years," said Mark Gundrum, vice president of marketing and communications for ARCA. "This is a chance for us to give something back to the race fans in our hometown."

Public admission to ARCA Fan Fest is free. ARCA Fan Fest will be open from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Saturday, and will open at 10 a.m. on Sunday. Fans will be required to purchase race tickets to enter the speedway for each day's racing action.

Participating sponsors of ARCA Fan Fest include Aaron's, Menards, Yard Sport, Sunny D, Federated Car Care, CGS Imaging, and several other ARCA Racing Series and Toledo Speedway sponsors.

As part of ARCA Fan Fest, Aaron's will host and sponsor "Welcome Race Fans" events on Friday and Saturday nights in the Toledo Speedway Bar and Grille, featuring big screen TV viewing of the NASCAR races from Charlotte, as well as food and drink specials.

The Federated Car Care 200 at Toledo Speedway will close the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards season, completing a schedule of 19 races over speedways, short tracks, dirt tracks, and a road course.

Toledo Speedway will host two practices on Saturday, October 15, with one from noon to 12:45 p.m., and the second from 1:40 to 2:25. Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell will decide the final ARCA pole winner of 2011 at 4 p.m., preceding a USAC Midget feature and a USAC Silver Crown feature to close the first day of the track's championship weekend.

On Sunday, October 16, an on-track autograph session for all fans from noon to 1 p.m. will precede the 200-lap, 100-mile Federated Car Care 200, which will start at 2 p.m.

Advance discount tickets for the Federated Car Care 200 are available at Toledo-area Menards stores, including locations in Sandusky, Findlay, and Defiance.  Race fans can save on ticket prices through October 14.
