STUNT DRIVER TOBY THIBODEAU TO BE GUEST ON RADIO SHOW TUESDAY NIGHT AT SPEEDWAY BAR/GRILLE

TOLEDO, OH (6-30-2008)--  Toledo Speedway, The Toledo Blade and Cumulus Radio will kick off the holiday weekend in the Glass City with the “Night of Thrills” Thursday evening, July 3.  The family-oriented event will feature the Thrill show, Figure 8 racing, Carnival rides and Fireworks for the special night of fun and entertainment.

TOLEDO, OH (6-23-2008)--  The Toledo Blade and Cumulus Radio will join Toledo Speedway to provide a great night of family fun and entertainment Thursday evening, July 3 with the “Night of Thrills”.

TOLEDO, OH (6-20-2008)-- 5-time division champion Ron Allen held back the last-lap challenge of Jim Froling to win the marathon-like ARCA National City Bank Sportsman feature on Wendy’s Autograph Night/Racing Fan Club Night Friday at Toledo Speedway. Danny Hargraves, representing Wendy’s, and Wendy greeted the winners in the New Glass Bowl Lanes Winner’s Circle. The Michigan Auto Racing Fan Club honored Factory Stock driver Kevin Little with a helmet bag, while the Dayton Auto Racing Fan Club presented t-shirts to all feature winners.

Thrill Show-Fireworks-Carnival Rides-Racing On Tap

TOLEDO, OH (6-18-08): Toledo Speedway will kick off the Independence holiday weekend with a special event Thursday evening, July 3. The “Night of Thrills”, featuring the Imperial Stunt Drivers Thrill Show, Fireworks, Carnival rides and racing, will begin at 7:30 p.m. The track will not race on Friday the 4^th, but will use the holiday as a rain date for the July 3 show.

TOLEDO, OH (6-16-2008)-- Toledo Speedway’s “Fastest Short Track Show in the World”, featuring the ISMA Super Modifieds and Auto Value Super Sprints, which was washed out Friday evening, will not be rescheduled for the 2008 season.  Conflicts in dates for both divisions and the track will keep the event off the books for this year. 

TOLEDO, OH (6-13-2008)--  For the first time in the history of the event, Toledo Speedway’s All American Coach/Hemelgarn Racing/Super Fitness “Fastest Short Track Show in the World” was washed out by rain.  The ISMA Super Modifieds and the Auto Value Super Sprints both hit the track for practice but the rain set in and put the damper on the event.

TOLEDO, OH (6-10-2008)-- Toledo Speedway’s track surface is one of the finest in the nation; ultra-smooth, consistently fast and with plenty of grip. Lap times for every type of race car that has competed on the ½ mile paved oval so far in 2008 has a common element—FAST! And with the fastest race cars on the planet making the trip to Toledo this Friday for the “Fastest Short Track Show in the World”, chances are the incredible 1 lap track record may be rewritten.

TOLEDO, OH (6-6-2008)-- Mother Nature again played a part in Toledo Speedway’s Friday night race card. With a good crowd on hand for the Roadway Express/Utility Trailer/Teamsters Local 20 Kids Night, the program moved very quickly as the weather moved in. With severe weather approaching, the night was called complete just as the storm warning sirens in the city wailed. Before that, over 500 kids enjoyed a free hot dog, drink and chips, courtesy of Sherwood Foods, 7-Up and Seyfert’s Snacks. Jim Froling took the Sportsman win, Scott Apperson took his first-ever Figure 8 victory and Dave Arnold Jr. was the winner in the rain-shortened Factory Stock race. The Factory Stock B Main and the 4 Cylinder feature that did not run will be added to the June 20 race card.

TOLEDO, OH (5-30-2008)-- Despite threatening weather looming in the distance and the usual lousy forecast, Toledo Speedway was able to complete all but 1 race on Armed Forces Appreciation Night. The Friday night show was completed with the exception of the 10 lap Factory Stock B Main. Howard Kelley Jr., Jeremy Vanderhoof and Cory McCaughey posted feature wins before the rains hit the track.

TOLEDO OH (5-25-2008)--  Harold Fair Jr. powered his way to victory in Sunday night’s ARCA Allegiant Air Glass City Gold Cup Late Model feature at Toledo Speedway.  The evening, sponsored by the Toledo area UAW Cap Council, also had Ron Allen score his 100^th ARCA win in the ARCA National City Bank Sportsman win, while Adam Roberts took the Michigan Legends Car feature.  Bill Daniels, representing the Cap Council, presented the trophies to the winners.

Toledo, OH 5-23-2009-- The Seyfert’s Snacks “Night of Destruction” lived up to its billing Friday evening at Toledo Speedway as heavy hitting was the name of the game in the School Bus Figure 8 contest. A good crowd turned out to kick off the Memorial Day holiday weekend. John Wieck of Seyfert’s greeted the crowd and presented trophies to the winners in the Glass Bowl Lanes Winner’s Circle. Track announcer Gary Lindahl introduced Factory Stock racer Andy Holly to the crowd. Andy is leaving for Iraq Saturday, and he received a standing ovation.
