FLAT ROCK, MI: (1-14-09): Flat Rock Speedway management and the Dr. Pepper/Snapple Bottling Group is pleased to announce the formation of a marketing partnership for the next 3 racing seasons at the ¼ mile asphalt oval. Beginning with this April, the Toledo, OH based soft drink distributor will provide product to "The Rock" for Flat Rock's concession operation.

The Dr. Pepper/Snapple Group began an association with Flat Rock's sister track, Toledo Speedway, last summer.  With the pouring rights agreement available at Flat Rock beginning this season, the decision was made to join forces.

Gladys Cothern, Senior Branch Manager, said "The Dr. Pepper Snapple Bottling Group is pleased to be a part of the great racing tradition and family entertainment at Flat Rock Speedway.  Our diverse beverage options including Dr. Pepper, RC Cola, 7-Up and Big Red Crème Soda are a perfect addition to the speedway for race fans and teams that will visit Flat Rock this season."

The group also will feature A & W Rootbeer, Sunkist Orange, Hawaiian Punch, All Sport and Venom energy drink not only at Flat Rock but at Toledo as well.

The group will also sponsor several events at each track in 2009 and will assist both facilities in the promotion and marketing of the upcoming racing season.

"We are very excited about our new association at Flat Rock with the Dr. Pepper/Snapple Bottling Group," noted Ron Drager, promoter of the track.  "The group played a large part in our promotion of Toledo Speedway in 2008 and their product line was well received by our race fans.  We look for more of the same at Flat Rock this summer."

Flat Rock opens its gates for the 59th consecutive season Saturday, April 25, while Toledo Speedway kicks off its 50th season of operation also on April 25 with the ASA Late Model event.  The track's weekly Friday night shows begin May 1.
