FLAT ROCK MI (11-11-08)--It's getting cold, there's a few snow flurries in the air around the Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway area, but it's also time to keep plans moving for the 2009 season. And with that, ARP Bodies has announced it will renew its contingency program with the 2 tracks for the upcoming year.

Dave Kamholtz of ARP has agreed to renew the program for the Flat Rock Street Stock and Toledo Sportsman divisions again next year.  ARP will award a $500 product certificate toward the purchase of a Master Kit body package to each of the champions in the 2 divisions mentioned, as well as providing another pair of $500 product certificates for a random draw to be held at the 2009 awards banquet.

Flat Rock Street Stock champ Dan Ford Jr. and Toledo Sportsman king Jim Froling were presented with their ARP awards at last Friday night's banquet.  Jim Kourtakis was the winner of the Street Stock random draw, while Tom O'Leary III won the Sportsman random draw.

Drivers will be required to display the ARP decal on the front fender of their machines as per requirements of ARP, which is located in Greenbrier, TN. 

"We are very pleased to get the 2009 season moving with the announcement of the renewal of ARP's contingency award program for both tracks", said Scott Schultz, General Manager of the 2 speedways.  "We have several more announcements we hope to make prior to the holiday season."

Flat Rock's 2009 opener is set for Saturday, April 25, with Toledo's weekly Friday night race cards set to begin Friday, May 1.  The first race of the year at Toledo will be the ASA event April 25.

Season tickets for both tracks are now on sale.  Fans can save $25 per season pass if purchased prior to January 1, 2009.  For the first time, Toledo's season ticket package WILL include the ASA race, Monster Truck event and concert.  Early-bird season ticket prices are $200 for Flat Rock and $275 for Toledo, if purchased before the January 1.
