TOLEDO OH (3-31-08)--There's something about walking into Frenchtown Square Mall in Monroe and Westfield Franklin Park in Toledo at this time of year and seeing the freshly-painted, sharp-looking race cars on display in the concourse, signaling the fast-approaching racing seasons at Flat Rock Speedway and Toledo Speedway.

Well, maybe everyone doesn't get quite as excited as the rest of us, but fans, officials and race teams are getting ready to go as both mall shows this past weekend stirred the thoughts of burning rubber as ARCA's short tracks get ready to kick off their 2008 racing seasons. Healthy crowds visited the two venues this past weekend, while more than 75 drivers were seen roaming the malls, checking out the new paint schemes and bench racing with their fellow racers and teams as curious mall patrons checked out the cars that dotted the mall concourses.

SOUTHGATE MI (5-15-08)--Eric Lee might've been right in his interview after last week's win at Flat Rock Speedway. He said they found something with these new tires. For the second consecutive week, Lee won the Super Late Model feature.

FLAT ROCK, MI (6-4-08)--Flat Rock Speedway's biggest Late Model race of the season, the Moran Chevrolet 150, has now taken on an added flavor for the 2008 edition of the event. The Saturday, June 21 contest will now be known as the Moran Chevrolet/Stan Yee Memorial 150. Yee, a hugely successful car owner for over 40 years, passed away May 18, just 2 days shy of his 76th birthday.

Flat Rock, MI (6-28-08)--  11:35 A.M.  Heavy rain overnight and another heavy rain at 11 a.m. this morning has forced the postponement of tonight’s racing program at Flat Rock Speedway.  The track received over 3 inches rain after midnight and coupled with another downpour this morning flooded the track, pit area and parking lot.
 
The Moran Chevrolet/Stan Yee Memorial 150 for the ARCA Late Models has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 26.  Please check the website Monday morning for more details. ...

Long time ARCA member Floyd LaLonde, who drove in the ARCA Figure-8 and Street Stock divisions at Flat Rock Speedway, passed away recently at the age of 75. Lalonde finished 3rd in ARCA Street Stock points at Flat Rock in 1978, and after retiring from driving sponsored 1981 and 1983 ARCA Street Stock champion Danny Leppen for many years through his Floyd's Muffler Shop business. Flat Rock, MI  (5-23-09)--  The weather finally cooperated on a Saturday night in Flat Rock, MI, and the fans responded as a good crowd made the trip to Flat Rock Speedway for a great night of racing, capped off with a fantastic fireworks display.  Danny Jackson took top honors for the ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series, Mike Bershback won the ARCA 4 Cylinder feature and Tristan Dupuis cruised to the win in the 250 lap Enduro race.  Over 600 kids were on hand for the Kids Night, which featured free admission for children to age 14 and a complimentary hot dog, chips and a drink, courtesy of Sherwood Foods, Seyfert’s Potato Chips and the Dr. Pepper/Snapple Group of Toledo.

TOLEDO, OH  (5-22-09)--  Pleasant Lake, IN driver Scott Hantz zipped into the lead on lap 44 and sailed to victory in the Big Red Crème Soda 100 for the ARCA Hantz Group/Allegiant Air Glass City Gold Cup Late Model Series Friday evening at Toledo Speedway.  Gladys Cothern and Steve Harsh, representing Big Red, presented the Gold Cup to Scott in the Glass Bowl Lanes Winner’s Circle.

Toledo Speedway held it's first Gold Cup race of the season. Scott Hantz swept the night turning the fast time for the event and taking home the win. It was his first ARCA Super Late Model victory in five years and his second career Gold Cup event.

TOLEDO, OH (6-17-09): Summer has arrived! And with it comes the start of 2 busy weekends for the ARCA outlaw-bodied Late Models. Legs 2 and 3 of the 5-race Hantz Group/Allegiant Air Gold Cup Series are on the slate, starting with a 75 lap contest at Toledo Speedway Friday night, June 19. The Series moves to its sister track, Flat Rock Speedway, for the prestigious Moran Chevrolet/Stan Yee Memorial 150 Saturday evening, June 27.

TOLEDO, OH: (6-18-09): After a one year absence, the United States Auto Club (USAC) will return to Toledo Speedway for an open-wheel doubleheader featuring both the National Sprint Car and Midget Series. LEGENDS HERO CARD TO FIRST 1000 FANS THROUGH GATES SATURDAY AT FLAT ROCK

FLAT ROCK, MI: (6-24-09): The anticipation and excitement continues to build each and every day for the prestigious Moran Chevrolet/Stan Yee Memorial 150 Saturday night, June 27 at Flat Rock Speedway. Track staff has just announced that the first 1000 fans through the front gate will receive a Legends Hero Card, picturing many of the drivers who piloted the Stan Yee #33 machines during his over 40 year career as a car builder and owner.

Saturday's Moran Chevrolet/Stan Yee Memorial 150 marks just the second year that Flat Rock Speedway's longest Late Model race of the season has been held in memory of Stan Yee, who found success as a car owner and builder for nearly five decades before passing away in 2008. However, the history of weekly Late Model Racing at Flat Rock Speedway dates back to 1962 and this weekend's Moran Chevrolet/Stan Yee Memorial 150 marks the 14th consecutive season in which the track has contested a 150-lap Late Model feature.
