Frank Kimmel and Davey Hamilton Headline Toledo Flat Rock Speedways Press Conference
(TOLEDO, Ohio – March 14, 2014) – Reigning ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards champion Frank Kimmel and 11-time Indy 500 starter Davey Hamilton will headline the 2014 ARCA Press Conference scheduled for the Hollywood Casino in Rossford, Ohio on March 25.
Kimmel, the all-time winningest ARCA driver with 80 victories and 10 series championships, is scheduled to help launch the promotion of the May 18 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards race at Toledo Speedway while Hamilton will announce a sprint car event that will be coming to Toledo Speedway in July.
Hamilton’s highest finish at the Indianapolis 500 was a fourth in 1998. He was twice the runner-up in the Indy Car Series point standings.
Kimmel finished second in the first ARCA Racing Series race of 2014 at Daytona International Speedway. He is coming off his 10th series title and has an incredible string of being in the top 10 in ARCA points in each of the past 22 seasons. He has won an ARCA-record nine times at Toledo Speedway.
The ARCA Racing Series will return to Toledo Speedway in May. Last year, veteran driver Ken Schrader took home the checkered flag.
The press conference, which will be open to the public for the first time, is returning to the Hollywood Casino, located just south of the Maumee River near Toledo, Ohio.
In addition to the special guests, ARCA officials will have several announcements about the race seasons at Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway, including the 2014 Glass City Gold Cup Series and the season-ending Glass City 200.
