TOLEDO, OH  (4-30-10)--  Toledo Speedway's Valvoline Summer Racing Series presented by Cumulus Radio got underway Friday evening under sunny skies and warm temperatures.  The PNC Bank Friday night opener winners were Ron Allen, Dennis Whisman, Cory McCaughey and Brad Turner.  The track also held its annual Armed Forces Appreciation Night, with all military personnel admitted as guests of the speedway.

TOLEDO, OH  (5-14-10)--  Rookie driver Kyle DeLisle notched a big win in Friday night's 7-up 35 lap ARCA Sportsman feature race at Toledo Speedway.  Dennis Whisman made it 2 for 2 in the wild Figure 8 Main, while James Hazlett zipped to victory in the ARCA Factory Stock feature event.  The track hosted Scout Night on a cool and dry evening.

Nearly 100 classic cars were on hand for the weekly Placers Car Club Cruise-In held on the race track at Toledo Speedway. The weekly shows are sponsored by Toledo Speedway and the Toledo Speedway Bar & Grill.

The Toledo Speedway ¼ mile track is loaded with car owners, spectators and classic cars Thursday night.

Judy Nemire (below) and Jim Antagliata were among the attendees enjoying the show.

FLAT ROCK , MI: (6-5-10):   Flat Rock Speedway fans got wet again Saturday evening, as rain set in just after 1 heat race was completed.  The Fasten Right Roofing Family Night fell victim to the elements, putting the end to racing for the third time already this season.

(TOLEDO, Ohio - June 18, 2010) - Harold Fair Jr. sailed to a very decisive victory in the 75-lap ARCA Allegiant Air Late Model Gold Cup race Friday evening at Toledo Speedway. Miller Lite and Marco's Pizza served as the race night sponsors. Landon Schuster won the ARCA Factory Stock feature and David Price claimed the ARCA 4 Cylinder main event.  The program was pushed along as another storm was on the horizon.  A great effort by the race teams and track staff saw the entire show completed in 2 hours, just before the weather set in.

(TOLEDO, Ohio - June 25, 2010) - Dave Arnold Jr. held off the charge of Jim Froling and Ron Allen to win Friday night's Teamsters Local 20-sponsored 35-lap ARCA Sportsman feature race at Toledo Speedway. A good crowd saw Cory McCaughey pick up his third win in the ARCA Factory Stock race, while Howard Kelley Jr. and Tom O'Leary III captured the wild Figure 8 Train race.

(TOLEDO, Ohio - July 15, 2010) - For the second straight week, the Thursday night Placers Car Club Classic Car Show at Toledo Speedway has been cancelled due to the extreme heat and the forecast for storms later in the day.

The car show will resume next Thursday, July 22, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  A band will provide music during the show.

(FLAT ROCK, Mich. - July 17, 2010) - Tim Moore came back after crashing last week and scored the big win in the Leppen Chiropractic 100 for the ARCA DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks Saturday night at Flat Rock Speedway. James Rae captured the B Main and Greg Studt notched the Figure 8 win on Christmas in July Night, which featured Santa Claus and dozens of prizes that were given away to race fans. Dr. Cecilia Leppen and her children presented the trophies to the winners.

(FLAT ROCK, Mich. - July 26, 2010) - DeWitt, Mich. driver Chad Finley will make the trip to Flat Rock Speedway for the fifth and final leg of the ARCA Allegiant Air Late Model Gold Cup Series on Saturday, July 31. The Butch Giles Memorial 100 will decide the 2010 Gold Cup champion from the series of five events between Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways. The race has been named in honor of Butch Giles, a long-time sponsor and car owner at both tracks. Giles passed away just prior to the start of the 2010 season.

Saturday, July 17 was the annual 100 lap feature for the Street Stock A division. Tim Moore won the biggest race of his 20-year racing career taking over the lead on lap 71, leading the remaining 30 laps. "I thought I was racing Chad (Guinn) for second. Dan (Ford) was way head of us, and thought he was the leader ... didn't know he was down laps. I want to thank my family and girlfriend. And my crew for helping get the car back together after the wreck last week. I want to thank my neighbor Kurt for buying my tires for tonight ... I wouldn't be here without him," said the driver of the Moore Lawn Care, Dow Engines #83, who did multiple doughnuts afterwards on the frontstretch. (TOLEDO, Ohio - August 24, 2010) - For the first time in the history of both the United States Auto Club (USAC) and Toledo Speedway, the famed Silver Crown cars will appear on Saturday, October 16 at the half-mile paved oval. The "Rollie Beale 150" will honor Toledo's very own Rollie Beale, a past champion in USAC and a former director of the Sprint Car Series.

(FLAT ROCK, Mich. - August 28, 2010) - One of the largest crowds of the season filed into Flat Rock Speedway for the UAW Local 3000 Kid's Night promotion Saturday evening at Flat Rock Speedway.  With perfect weather conditions and a week of seasonable weather, the track proved to be extremely fast for all 3 classes.  Paul Pelletier and Jeremy Vanderhoof held onto their point leads with their wins, while Josh Bunting scored his first-ever Flat Rock victory.  Veteran Lonnie York also joined the win parade Saturday night.
