Toledo/Flat Rock Banquet Reminder
A reminder that the Flat Rock/Toledo banquet ticket reservation deadline is Saturday, October 23. The first group of tickets will be mailed early next week; the final mailing will be done after October 23. The ticket order form can be downloaded from the website. It is located under forms. Hantz Paces Glass City 200 Practice
(TOLEDO, Ohio - October 2, 2010) Scott Hantz set the pace during the final practice session for the 22nd Running of the Great Lakes Helicopters Glass City 200, presented by Cherry Picked Auto Parts this afternoon at Toledo Speedway.
Hantz, in the EMF #72, turned a fast lap of 14.866 s seconds, for an average speed of 121,082 mph. Hantz, the Pleasant Lake, IN veteran, has dominated in his appearances at Toledo, winning two of the three Gold Cup Late Model events at the high-banked half mile this summer.

Toledo "Short Track Wars" A Battle
(TOLEDO, Ohio - September 25, 2010) - Toledo Speedway's "Short Track Wars" event took place Saturday, highlighted by the first-ever road course type event, utilizing parts of the ½ mile, ¼ mile and pit road. Billy Earley was the winner in the entertaining 15 lap event, with Cory McCaughey, Tyler Rycenga and Rob Roney also claiming feature wins.

(FLAT ROCK, Mich. - September 18, 2010) - A large crowd ventured to Flat Rock Speedway Saturday night for the final race of the season. The evening was filled with action, fun, and excitement as the rescheduled Griller's Select BBQ Sauce School Bus Figure 8 race highlighted the big event. Costa Cardasis of Griller's Select presented trophies and a case of BBQ sauce to each of the feature winners. David Price and Jeff Maran secured their track championships Saturday night.

Flat Rock, MI (9-4-10) -- Despite very cool temperatures and gusty winds, a good crowd ventured to Flat Rock Speedway Saturday night for the Diamond Racing Products Season Championships. Stan Yee Jr., Dennis Whisman, Dan Ford Jr. and Steve Chartrand took the feature wins, while Paul Pelletier, Jeremy Vanderhoof, Ford Jr. and James Rae secured the 2010 track championships. The evening was capped off with a fantastic fireworks display.

TOLEDO, OH (9-3-10) -- On a crisp and cool Friday night, a huge crowd turned out to watch the Wendy's Night of Destruction at Toledo Speedway. With the action wild, the fans cheered and laughed all night long after witnessing a great night of family fun and entertainment. Wendy greeted the crowd and the Wendy's Hamburger chain provided giveaways and prizes for fans young and old. Track announcer Gary Lindahl and Wendy, along with several lucky race fans, performed the Chicken Dance at intermission on the front straight.

(TOLEDO, Ohio - September 3, 2010) - The annual ARCA Flat Rock-Toledo Championship Awards Banquet will be here before you know it so it's time to start thinking about ticket reservations. The Friday evening, November 5th gala event will be held at the Crystal Gardens in Southgate, Michigan. Doors open at 6:30 with dinner following at 7:30. Only 500 tickets are available and will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. (FLAT ROCK, Mich. - August 30, 2010) - George Carey, who owned the pink-colored No. 38 ARCA Street Stock driven by his wife Roseann Carey for several seasons at Flat Rock Speedway, died after a battle with cancer. Carey, 85, had been ill for several years, and seriously ill for the past six months.

(SYLVANIA, Ohio - August 30, 2010) - Tommy F. Coon, long time ARCA crew member and uncle of ARCA Street Stock driver Brian Norton, died Thursday, August 26 at Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania, Ohio. Tom Coon served on his nephew's pit crew from the time Norton began his career in Enduro racing through his two ARCA Street Stock championships at Flat Rock Speedway, totaling 70 feature victories.

(FLAT ROCK, Mich. - August 28, 2010) - One of the largest crowds of the season filed into Flat Rock Speedway for the UAW Local 3000 Kid's Night promotion Saturday evening at Flat Rock Speedway. With perfect weather conditions and a week of seasonable weather, the track proved to be extremely fast for all 3 classes. Paul Pelletier and Jeremy Vanderhoof held onto their point leads with their wins, while Josh Bunting scored his first-ever Flat Rock victory. Veteran Lonnie York also joined the win parade Saturday night.
