Danny Jackson Wins ARCA Truck Series Opener
(TOLEDO, Ohio - May 21, 2012) - Danny Jackson led 42 of 50 laps, including the final 18, to win Saturday's Grogan's Towne 50 at Toledo Speedway, the first race of the 2012 ARCA Truck Series season.

Luberda grabs ARCA Allegiant Gold Cup win at Spartan
Mason, Michigan—May 27, 2012: Spartan Speedway’s “Slugfest” Series, a grouping of Sunday night races, was the proper description for the ARCA Allegiant Gold Cup Late Model Series first visit to the track. Mike Luberda claimed the Spartan 100 win and a $2000 payday for his efforts as he topped the 23 car field for the victory.
The first 16 laps ran without a hitch as Brent Jack jumped into the lead at the green flag. And then, the proverbial wheel fell off the race. Over a dozen yellow flags for incidents marred the event, but no one could debate the hard racing going on for position throughout the field. Spartan’s tricky turn 4 was the location of a majority of the accidents, and that, coupled with the double-file restarts, kept the caution flag from being put away and resulting in 10 lead changes.

Trackside Tidbits by Debi Domby
A lot of things describe what you feel when you win, joy, elation, jubilation. Mike Root won the ARCA Allegiant Air Gold Cup Stan Yee Memorial 150 at Flat Rock Speedway and added a couple unusual reactions, such as baffled, dumfounded and mystified. Root was nearly lapped earlier in the race, only to come on late in the event to win his second Gold Cup feature ... the 150-lap feature a couple years ago. The largest Gold Cup field this season, 34 Super Late Models, were on hand.
...PELLETIER-FRANTZ-EARLEY BEAT THE RAIN AT FLAT ROCK (ALMOST)
(FLAT ROCK, Michigan - August 4, 2012) - For the first time since April 28, rain fell on a Saturday at Flat Rock Speedway. But a great effort by the race teams and track officials kept things moving along and allowed the Glass Unlimited Night to be nearly complete, as the Figure 8 feature was called after 14 of the 20 laps. Paul Pelletier, Rich Frantz and Billy Earley captured the wins. Walter Krause of Glass Unlimited presented the trophies and bonus money to the winning trio.
The clouds started to roll in around the 4 p.m. practice start and continued to build as approaching storms just missed the track. At 6:45, 15 minutes before start time, a heavy 10 minute downpour caused a delay, pushing the race card back to a 7:30 p.m. start. The race teams were ready and kept the race card moving through the heats and features.
...TRACK RECORD HOLDER SCHULTZ, FORMER ARCA/CRA CHAMP HANTZ ENTER MILLER LITE 100 AT TOLEDO

The family will receive friends at the Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home in Chelsea, MI Monday, August 20 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m to 8 p.m.

(FLAT ROCK, Michigan - August 18, 2012) - Trenton, MI resident Paul Pelletier recorded his 5th win of 2012, taking the victory in the 50 lap ARCA Moran Chevrolet Late Model feature Saturday night at Flat Rock Speedway. Saturday was arguably the best weather of the season that greeted a good crowd that attended the Leppen Chiropractic/UAW Local 3000 Autograph Night. Fans had the chance to walk on the track and meet the drivers prior to the start of the show. Dr. Cecilia Leppen, together with her son and grandson, presented trophies to the winners, which also included Tim Moore, Rich Abel and Dennis Whisman. The speedway also honored members of the military for Armed Forces Night, as all military personnel were guests of the track Saturday evening.

A nice crowd turned out for a great night of racing and entertainment as Jerry Lee Jr., Tim Moore, Lonnie York and Jeff Wells Jr. took the feature wins. Ray McClure secured the ARCA 4 Cylinder championship at the ¼ mile paved oval. The TKC Go-Karts also competed in an exhibition race prior to the start of the show.

...STANDING-ROOM ONLY CROWD JAMS “THE ROCK” FOR SCHOOL BUS FIGURE 8 SHOW
(FLAT ROCK, Michigan - September 15, 2012) - The largest crowd in several years ventured to Flat Rock Speedway Saturday night for the Griller’s Select BBQ Sauce School Bus Figure 8 races. The final race of the season saw standing-room only at the track, and the fans were treated to a spectacular evening of entertainment. Costa Cardasis and his Griller’s Select staff presented trophies in victory lane ceremonies as well as a case of bbq sauce to each feature winner.
The headliner School Bus Figure 8 race was wild! 3 buses got knocked over on their sides as the gigantic crowd roared each time. And, each time the bus was rolled back on all 4 wheels and the drivers jumped back in and re-joined the action! Stephanie Bradley thrilled the crowd early in the contest as she went over, thanks to Dennis Whisman’s help! She jumped back in the bus and took off as the race resumed. Danny Gaddis was next to go over as Billy Earley slammed into Danny at the intersection. Next up was Danny’s father, Ray, as Ray got tagged going into the turn and went over. Thinking his day was done, Ray went up into the grandstands, but found out his bus re-started. Ray, the leader at the time, got back in the seat and kept the lead for the win over Earley, Robbie Loving, Danny Gaddis, Bradley, Whisman, and Gary Majchrzak. Bus sponsors were Suburban Oil, Griller’s Select BBQ Sauce, Parts Galore, Sportway Go-Karts and Batting Cages, Southern Belles Roller Derby Team, Sterling Printing and Graphics and Glass Unlimited.
