SCHOOL BUS FIGURE 8 RACES COMING UP AT FLAT ROCK, TOLEDO
(TOLEDO, Ohio - May 16, 2013) - The days are growing closer….closer to School Bus Figure 8 races at both Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways! Toledo’s Burge Wrecking “Night of Destruction tears up the track Friday night, May 24, while the Parts Galore School Bus Figure 8 race at Flat Rock hits the speedway Saturday, June 15.
Both tracks still have school buses available for sponsorship! Each bus sponsorship includes painting a bus, public address mentions and 20 tickets. Contact either track office at 734-782-2480 (Flat Rock) or 419-727-1100 (Toledo).
Burge Wrecking, based in Toledo, has served as a race sponsor for many years at the Glass City track. In addition to the school bus races, several other events are scheduled, including a Figure 8 Train race, Boat Figure 8 race (yes, race cars towing boats), the track’s ARCA Parts Galore Figure 8 division, the R & M Recycling X Cars and Race Car Bowling.
All seating for the Toledo bus race is general admission on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tickets may be purchased in advance by calling the track at 419-727-1100. The front gates will open at 5:30 and racing begins at 7:30 p.m. A rain date of Sunday, May 26 has been established.
The Parts Galore Figure 8 School Bus Night is set for Saturday, June 15 at Flat Rock. For the first time ever, the ARCA Moran Chevrolet Late Models will run a complete show as part of this night of fun. The Parts Galore Figure 8 class will also be in action, and a Boat Figure 8 race is also on the race card. The gates will open at 4 and racing begins at 7 p.m.
Flat Rock will offer reserved seating for advance ticket sales for its bus race. To order tickets, call the track office at 734-782-2480. The ticket order form for both bus races may also be downloaded from either track’s webpage and emailed back to the track.
