(TOLEDO, Ohio - June 18, 2010) - Harold Fair Jr. sailed to a very decisive victory in the 75-lap ARCA Allegiant Air Late Model Gold Cup race Friday evening at Toledo Speedway. Miller Lite and Marco's Pizza served as the race night sponsors. Landon Schuster won the ARCA Factory Stock feature and David Price claimed the ARCA 4 Cylinder main event.  The program was pushed along as another storm was on the horizon.  A great effort by the race teams and track staff saw the entire show completed in 2 hours, just before the weather set in.

Saturday, July 17 was the annual 100 lap feature for the Street Stock A division. Tim Moore won the biggest race of his 20-year racing career taking over the lead on lap 71, leading the remaining 30 laps. "I thought I was racing Chad (Guinn) for second. As a tribute to the memory of Joy Fair, a special memorial decal is now available.  Fair, who passed away December 10, 2011, was one of the top racers in the country, accumulating over 800 career victories around the Midwest short tracks in his lifetime.  Joy was a 10-time Flat Rock Speedway champion and 7-time Toledo Speedway champ and is the all-time win leader at both tracks.

(TOLEDO, Ohio - April 18, 2012) - AuGres, MI driver Mike Luberda Jr. and Hamilton, OH resident Brian Nester are now entered for the Sunday afternoon, April 29 race at Toledo Speedway in the ARCA Allegiant outlaw-bodied Gold Cup Series portion of the 7-Up Twin 100’s.  The ARCA/CRA Super Series template-bodied Late Models will also be in competition, with each series running their respective 100 lap feature races on the fast, ½ mile paved oval.

(FLAT ROCK, Michigan - April 28, 2012) - The Saturday, April 28 Flat Rock Speedway Season Opener has been cancelled due to the unseasonable cold temperatures and the forecast of rain and snow showers.

The Pizza Hut vouchers dated for April 28 will be valid for May 5.  A makeup date for the 250 lap Enduro will be determined and announced next week.

Saturday, May 5 will now serve as Opening Day, with the ARCA Moran Chevrolet Late Models, Parts Galore Figure 8’s and DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks in action.

An open practice is scheduled for this Wednesday, May 2 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.   The pit area will open at 4 p.m.

Saturday, May 5 the pit area opens at 2, practice begins at 3, time trials are at 5 and racing begins at 7 p.m.

Sunday, May 6 is the Flat Rock Historical Society Flea Market from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the track grounds.  Admission is free.  For space rental information, call 734-782-5220.

(June 29, 2012) - Santa Claus is readying his sleigh for the annual Christmas in July prize giveaways to be held at Toledo Speedway Friday, July 13 and Flat Rock Speedway Saturday, July 14.  Prize donations are being sought for both tracks as the Jolly Old Elf prepares for his visit to 2 of his favorite short tracks!

Toledo, Ohio—July 12, 2012:  In a mutual decision among both the Buckeye 305 Sprint Car tour and Toledo Speedway, the Friday, August 10 show has been cancelled at the Glass City oval.  The group has experienced short fields for several events this season and the decision has been made to cancel the race at Toledo.

“We have been in constant communication with the Buckeye 305 Sprint Series for several weeks regarding the Toledo race,” said Scott Schultz, General Manager of Toledo.  “The group has had short fields for several of their races and it was agreed that it was in the best interest of the Series and Toledo Speedway and its fans to cancel this event.”

“With that said, we have confidence in the group and we will begin discussions this fall regarding booking dates for the 2013 season at both Toledo and Flat Rock Speedways,” added Schultz.  “We will continue to work with the series.”

With the cancellation, Toledo track management will make a schedule adjustment.  The Figure 8 Train Race, originally set for the August 3 date, will now move to Friday, August 10.

Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway announcer Gary Lindahl underwent scheduled surgery today for a hip replacement. At 1:25 p.m. track personnel received a phone call from Gary himself.  Surgery went well and he is now in recovery.

Gary would like to thank all the fans, officials and race teams for their thoughts and prayers.

If all goes well, Lindahl expects to be back at the track soon.

Toledo, Ohio—August 10, 2012:  Due to the unfavorable weather forecast and the on again, off-again mist at the track, Toledo Speedway officials have cancelled tonight’s racing program.

The Big Wheel races have been reset for next Friday, August 17, while the Armed Forces Appreciation Night will now be held Friday, August 24.

Next up is the Miller Lite 100 Friday evening, August 17 for the ARCA Allegiant Gold Cup Series and the Main Event Racing Series.  The ARCA R & M Recycling Street Stocks and ARCA 4 Cylinders will also be in action.  Race time is 7:30 p.m.
