Remembering Bob Jones and Jamie Bussard

(TOLEDO, Ohio - April 19, 2012) - Two members of the Toledo Speedway and Flat Rock Speedway community recently passed away unexpectedly.

Robert N. "Bob" Jones, who drove thejonesbobcar.jpg No. 1 ARCA Street Stock at Toledo Speedway, died unexpectedly as a result of a heart attack at his home in Toledo on April 7 at the age of 59. He is survived by his wife. Services were private.

Jamie Bussard, who drove car No. 88 in the ARCA Figure-8 division and drove for the Dan Apperson Figure-8 Train Racing Team at Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways, died accidentally of smoke inhalation in a car fire early Saturday morning, April 14, in Frenchtown Township near Monroe. Bussard, of Berlin Township, was 32. 

Bussard is survived by his father, Michael Gardner Bussard of Berlinbussard88car.jpg Township; mother, Debrah Kay Hamilton of Sandy Hook, Miss.; and children Maria, Jamie Jr., and Jazymne.
