(FLAT ROCK, Mich. - July 17, 2010) - Tim Moore came back after crashing last week and scored the big win in the Leppen Chiropractic 100 for the ARCA DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks Saturday night at Flat Rock Speedway. James Rae captured the B Main and Greg Studt notched the Figure 8 win on Christmas in July Night, which featured Santa Claus and dozens of prizes that were given away to race fans. Dr. Cecilia Leppen and her children presented the trophies to the winners.

(FLAT ROCK, Mich. - July 26, 2010) - DeWitt, Mich. driver Chad Finley will make the trip to Flat Rock Speedway for the fifth and final leg of the ARCA Allegiant Air Late Model Gold Cup Series on Saturday, July 31. The Butch Giles Memorial 100 will decide the 2010 Gold Cup champion from the series of five events between Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways. The race has been named in honor of Butch Giles, a long-time sponsor and car owner at both tracks. Giles passed away just prior to the start of the 2010 season.

Saturday, July 17 was the annual 100 lap feature for the Street Stock A division. Tim Moore won the biggest race of his 20-year racing career taking over the lead on lap 71, leading the remaining 30 laps. "I thought I was racing Chad (Guinn) for second. Dan (Ford) was way head of us, and thought he was the leader ... didn't know he was down laps. I want to thank my family and girlfriend. And my crew for helping get the car back together after the wreck last week. I want to thank my neighbor Kurt for buying my tires for tonight ... I wouldn't be here without him," said the driver of the Moore Lawn Care, Dow Engines #83, who did multiple doughnuts afterwards on the frontstretch. (FLAT ROCK, Mich. - August 28, 2010) - One of the largest crowds of the season filed into Flat Rock Speedway for the UAW Local 3000 Kid's Night promotion Saturday evening at Flat Rock Speedway.  With perfect weather conditions and a week of seasonable weather, the track proved to be extremely fast for all 3 classes.  Paul Pelletier and Jeremy Vanderhoof held onto their point leads with their wins, while Josh Bunting scored his first-ever Flat Rock victory.  Veteran Lonnie York also joined the win parade Saturday night.

(TOLEDO, Ohio - February 7, 2011) - Former ARCA Late Model driver and car owner Clifford Bailey, age 76, passed away Friday, February 4. Cliff drove the No. 6 car for many years around the Southeastern Michigan/Northern Ohio tracks. His sons, Cliff and Jim, have also raced Late Models recently at Flat Rock. Cliff owned and operated a salvage yard for many years with his wife, Marie.

(Flat Rock, Michigan - May 7, 2011) - With rain once again hitting many areas around Flat Rock Speedway, the weather somehow avoided the track and Saturday’s Action Painting/Fasten Right Roofing Night show was completed.  With a great effort by the race teams, the entire program was completed in just 2 hours and 15 minutes.  Tim Moore, Gary Camelet, Robbie Loving and Brad Turner visited victory lane.

Flat Rock, Michigan--May 14, 2011:  Due to rains and the forecast of more of the same for much of the day, Flat Rock Speedway's UAW Local 3000 Autograph Night program has been cancelled. 

"With the continued rainy weather, the lousy forecast for the entire weekend and taking into account the price of fuel for our race teams and fans, we have decided to cancel our May 14 show," noted Ron Drager, promoter of the track.  "Many of our fellow promoters also have pulled the plug early..it's been a tough start to the season for everyone."

All UAW Local 3000 tickets dated for May 14 will now be honored Saturday, May 21.  The Autograph Night will now be combined with Scout Night next Saturday.  The pit gates will open at 2, practice is at 3:30, time trials are at 5, the on-track autograph session is at 6:15 and racing begins at 7 p.m.

Toledo, OH – The Valvoline Instant Oil Change Summer Racing Series continues with Kids Night on Friday, May 20 at Toledo Speedway.  Kids will receive a free Valvoline Instant Oil Change t-shirt (while supplies last), which they can color with special markers at design stations throughout the night.

Toledo, Ohio--May 25, 2011:  Tim Stewart, the son of Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway track chaplain Jerry Stewart, passed away today, Wednesday, May 25.  He was 43 years old.

Tim suffered a massive heart attack last Thursday.  He was transported to Toledo Hospital where he remained until he passed away.  The family wishes to express their thanks to everyone for the prayers and support over the past few days. 

The family will receive friends beginning at Noon Saturday, May 28 at the First Baptist Church, 4827 N. Holland-Sylvania Road.  A memorial service will follow at 12:30 p.m.  A luncheon will take place after the service.  Messages may reach the family at www.NewcomerToledo.com.  Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
