TO ALL DIVISIONS: In 2010, we will put a major emphasis on decibel limits. The rule is the same, but it will be enforced. We have been lax with this program, but a major emphasis will be applied to this rule in 2010. You will have 1 week to fix your problem; if you are still loud, you will start scratch in all events. If you are still loud on your third time you are at the track, you will not be allowed to compete. THIS APPLIES TO ALL CARS IN ALL DIVISIONS AT BOTH TRACKS. This was a topic at the recent MSPA (Michigan Speedway Promoters Association) meeting.

ARCA LATE MODEL RULE CHANGES-(The LM changes will NOT be in rule book)

Clarifications from Late Model Alliance meeting of Jan. 7, 2010:

Nosepiece:  8" x 15" measurement has been eliminated.  Rule now will read:  After-market nosepiece, to be mounted in conventional manner and have no more than 1 inch of belly built into nosepiece.  Front over-hang may extend maximum of 45 inches from center of hub to tip of nose, including lip/splitter.  Maximum width of lip is 4 inches.  Nosepiece flares must not extend higher than top of fender. 

Body part(s) clarifications:  Body to be mounted in conventional manner-no recessed body panels, vents, louvers, wrapped-in fenders, offset quarter panels, etc.  No built-in vertical lips on any body panel.  Wheel flare cannot extend past sidewall and back past rear of tire, and can be no higher than actual quarter panel or fender.  Rear spoiler cannot be closer than 3 inches to outside of right rear tire.  Rear deck lid drop or "belly" may have maximum of 1 inch drop, checked with straight edge from side to side of rear quarter panels. 

For 2011:  NO titanium or carbon fiber rotors permitted.

ARCA FIGURE 8 DIVISION

ARCA STREET STOCKS

Pg. 52, 2. ENGINE:  (ADD):  Vortec heads with Edelbrock part number 2116 manifold permitted.  All valves must remain OEM stock-size, angle, diameter.  No porting or polishing.

ARCA SPORTSMAN

Pg. 58, Engines, Adding (D):  An engine RPM limit will be established.  Teams will receive notice from ARCA 30 days prior to the date of implementation.

Ignition boxes must be mounted on passenger side dash board, out of reach of driver, and accessible to inspector from passenger window. 

Pg. 60, 16. Weight:  (ADD):  Allowances for gas usage and laps run will be made for after race.

ARCA FACTORY STOCKS

Pg. 63. 1.  (CLARIFICATION):  Wheelbase length and body panel dimensions must match make, model and year of car.

Pg. 64, 10.  (Delete):  Springs must match left to right in size and dimension.

ARCA 4 CYLINDERS  (as announced 12-3-09):

Pg. 66, #2.  Eligibility/Engine:  4-valver per cylinder engine now permitted.  Maximum size of 2.2 liters, same as was available for make, model and year of vehicle.

Pg. 67, #9  Suspension and brakes:  Delete camber measurement rule.

**WORDING IN 2010 RULE BOOK WILL TAKE PRECEDENT OVER THIS AMENDMENT SHEET.
