(FLAT ROCK, Michigan - July 16, 2011) - Veteran Chad Guinn turned in a dominating performance and captured the Sun Drop 100 for the ARCA DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks Saturday night at Flat Rock Speedway.  Guinn wheeled car owner Bill Meade’s #86 to a convincing win and a $1000 payday in record time for the 100 lap contest, which took just 28 minutes and 40 seconds to complete.  The track also staged its annual Christmas in July prize giveaway, with Santa Claus himself presenting presents to lucky race fans.

(TOLEDO, Ohio - July 15, 2011) - A nice crowd turned out for Toledo Speedway’s Lakeshore Utility Trailer/Velvet Ice Cream Christmas in July prize giveaway Friday night, with special guest Santa Claus and surprise guest, the Valvoline Grinch.  Dozens of prizes were handed out to fans of all ages, while the Valvoline Instant Oil Change Summer Racing Series race card provided great action and entertainment.

After 9 years of racing, Sam Hall scored his first win in the Parts Galore Figure 8 feature, Jim Froling topped the ACME Dismantling Sportsman event and the duo of Howard Kelley Jr./Tom O’Leary III captured the wild Figure 8 Train race.

(FLAT ROCK, Michigan - July 15, 2011) - Several bonus awards have been added for the running of the Moran Chevrolet/Stan Yee Memorial 150 presented by CGS Imaging, set for Saturday, July 30 at Flat Rock Speedway.  The 150 lap contest for the ARCA Allegiant Glass City Gold Cup Late Models is leg number 3 of the 5 race series between Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways.

(TOLEDO, Ohio - July 14, 2011) - With the insistence of fans and racers, the increasingly-popular “Road Course” race will be added to the Friday, August 12 race card at Toledo Speedway.  The June event saw 21 cars start the race, which uses portions of the ¼ mile, ½ mile and pit road at the Glass City facility. 

(TOLEDO, Ohio – July 14, 2011) - The Toledo-area Valvoline Instant Oil Change’s Grinch will join Santa Claus to hand out prizes to lucky race fans Friday, July 15 as the track celebrates its annual Christmas in July prize giveaway.  The event, part of the Valvoline Instant Oil Change Summer Racing Series, will be sponsored by Lakeshore Utility Trailer Sales and Velvet Ice Cream.

A first time winner in the series graced victory lane for the second leg of the Allegiant Air Gold Cup Series race that was held at Toledo (Ohio) Speedway Friday night. JR Roahrig led only the final six laps in route to the victory.

(FLAT ROCK, Michigan - July 12, 2011) - A field of 35-40 DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks is expected for Saturday’s Sun Drop 100 lap feature at Flat Rock Speedway.  The longest race of the season for the division will see the winner take home $1000 for their efforts.  Flat Rock’s Parts Galore Figure 8 division will also be in action at “The Rock” Saturday, July 16. 

Lap money is now being taken for the upcoming Moran Chevrolet/Stan Yee Memorial 150 presented by CGS Imaging, set for Saturday, July 30 at Flat Rock Speedway.

The race is number 3 of the 5 race series for the ARCA Allegiant Glass City Gold Cup Late Models. 

Lap money is $5 per lap, which goes to the leader of each of the 150 laps.  Each sponsor will receive public address announcements and a listing in the souvenir program for race day, along with listing on the track’s web page.

(FLAT ROCK, Michigan - July 9, 2011) - Floral City Beverage and Budweiser presented the Kabooom Night Saturday at Flat Rock Speedway, treating the fans to a great fireworks spectacular to end the evening.  The race teams also put on a show for the good crowd on hand on a beautiful summer night.  Dan Ford Jr., Robbie Loving, Scott Selmi and Rich Abel took the feature wins and were presented with trophies and a Budweiser mirror in victory lane ceremonies.

(TOLEDO, Ohio - July 8, 2011) - JR Roahrig jumped into Bob Blount's #16, came from 10th spot and passed Dennis Strickland with 6 laps to go to win the ARCA Allegiant Glass City Gold Cup 100 lap Late Model race Friday night at Toledo Speedway.  The race went all green flag, giving JR a new track record for the 100 laps in just 27 minutes and 34 seconds on the 1/2 mile paved oval.

Dennis Strickland led the entire 100-lap distance to win the opening race of the Allegiant Air Gold Cup Series race at Flat Rock Speedway. The last time someone led the entire distance in a Gold Cup race was when Harold Fair Jr. did it in July 25, also at Flat Rock.
