Placer's Car Club Car Show Cancelled
SPONSOR LIST GROWING FOR FLAT ROCK’S 60TH ANNIVERSARY SHOW!
It’s not too often a 60th Anniversary party comes around! Flat Rock Speedway is doing just that, celebrating its milestone this Saturday night, July 6! The night will be filled with great racing—over 200 laps of feature racing, plus the Fantastic Flat Rock Speedway Fireworks show to cap the night! We have a special starting time of 6:30 p.m. for this Saturday night only.
We are taking lap money at $5 per lap for both the 60 lap races for the Figure 8’s and Street Stocks! The lap money for the Diamond Racing Products Joy Fair Memorial 100 is sold out!
A & M Transmissions, located across the street from the track, will sponsor the 60 lap Figure 8 event, while Corrigan Race Fuels, our Sunoco Race Fuel distributor, will back the 60 lap Street Stock race!
Associate sponsors that have graciously pledged their support include Roberts Security, Sterling Printing and Graphics, Glass Unlimited, First Care Ambulance, Jack Bush and Sons, American Sanitation and Carleton Farm Supply.

STEVE CRONENWETT JR. GRABS HUGE GOLD CUP WIN AT SPARTAN
(MASON, Michigan - June 30, 2013) - Steve Cronenwett Jr. took care of his car, charged into contention by the half-way mark and took the lead with 37 laps to go on his way to a huge victory in the Charlie Ryan Jr. Memorial 100 for the ARCA Glass City Gold Cup Late Model Series Sunday night at Spartan Speedway. A large group of members of the Ryan family were on hand to present Steve with the Gold Cup and a plaque to commemorate his win.
...FRIDAY TOLEDO SPEEDWAY FIREWORKS IS A NO-GO; RACING STILL A GO
(TOLEDO, Ohio - July 1, 2013) - Due to concerns from the city and the fireworks company, Toledo Speedway’s fireworks show slated for Friday night, July 5 has been scrapped. The speedway was notified of this decision Monday afternoon. The racing program is still planned, with a 7:30 p.m. start at the Benore Road facility.

With rain at the track at 3 p.m. and the grounds soaked from rain every day this week, tonight's racing program has been cancelled at Flat Rock Speedway. The pop-up showers continue
The track is weeping from all the rain and the pit area is very saturated.
The Enduro race will be rescheduled at a later date.

Toledo Speedway's race card for tonight has been cancelled due to the rain. Thundershowers have arrived at the track, forcing any chance to race.
Teamsters Union tickets dated for June 28 will be honored next Friday night, July 5.

FLAT ROCK PREPARES FOR 60TH ANNIVERSARY SHOW AND FIREWORKS; BIGGEST SHOW OF YEAR JULY 6—6:30 P.M. ST
(FLAT ROCK, Michigan - June 27, 2013) - August 14, 1953: Flat Rock Speedway opens the gates for their very first race. Built by Detroit-area businessman Sheldon Hayes Sr. and his associates, the track was the first “rubberized” asphalt track in the nation. Hayes, a pavement company owner, mixed up a special batch of asphalt for the ¼ mile paved oval…..and now, 60 years later, Flat Rock Speedway will celebrate the anniversary with the biggest show on its 2013 calendar.

FIREWORKS ARE ON AT TOLEDO JULY 5!!!
Toledo, Ohio—June 26, 2013: Toledo Speedway management is proud to announce the addition of a FIREWORKS display to its “Red, White and Blue” Festival Friday, July 5 race card at the Benore Road track.
The speedway is also inviting any and all active and retired police, fire, military and EMT personnel to be a guest of the track for the July 5 event. Admission will be FREE for these outstanding men and women for this race. Please show your ID at the ticket windows upon arrival to the speedway.
There’s a variety of races and family fun planned at Toledo Speedway Friday night! Free bus rides around the track in the New Glass Bowl Lanes buses will begin at approximately 7 p.m.
On the track, the ARCA ACME Dismantling Sportsman will battle wheel to wheel on the big ½ mile paved oval, with the ARCA R & M Recycling X Cars banging fenders on the short track.
To top off the action prior to the fireworks display, a Boat Figure 8 race is on the schedule! Yes, race cars towing boats on trailers through the intersection of the Figure 8 course, with the object to knock the boat and trailer off your competitor’s machine!
