TOP SPEED MODIFIEDS VISIT TOLEDO AUG. 2; SPORTSMAN, ROAD COURSE RACE ALSO ON TAP

(TOLEDO, Ohio - July 25, 2013) - The touring Top Speed Modified Series will pay a visit to Toledo Speedway for the Meijer Night at the Races Friday evening, August 2.  Race fans will also be treated to a full race card for the ARCA ACME Dismantling Sportsman division on the ½ mile, and the annual Road Course race is also planned, which uses parts of the ¼ mile, ½ mile and pit road.

The open-wheel machines of the Top Speed Series competes at various tracks in the Michigan, Ohio and Indiana area.  A good field of cars is expected for the Toledo event, which will see action on the fast ½ mile paved oval. 

Toledo’s ARCA ACME Dismantling Sportsman cars will also hit the ½ mile for a full race card, including a 35 lap main event.  Current point leader Jim Froling, Howard Kelley Jr., Kyle DeLisle Jr. and Ron Allen have all visited the Sun Drop Winners Circle so far this season.

To cap off the evening of family fun and entertainment, Toledo’s “Road Course” race is set for 25 laps.  The track consists of parts of pit road, turns 3 and 4 of the ½ mile and a section of the ¼ mile track. The traditional left hand turns and a right turn thrown in keeps things interesting in this race, which will award $400 to the victor.
