Mall Shows Signal Start of Flat Rock, Toledo Racing Season
TOLEDO OH (3-31-08)--There's something about walking into Frenchtown Square Mall in Monroe and Westfield Franklin Park in Toledo at this time of year and seeing the freshly-painted, sharp-looking race cars on display in the concourse, signaling the fast-approaching racing seasons at Flat Rock Speedway and Toledo Speedway.
Well, maybe everyone doesn't get quite as excited as the rest of us, but fans, officials and race teams are getting ready to go as both mall shows this past weekend stirred the thoughts of burning rubber as ARCA's short tracks get ready to kick off their 2008 racing seasons. Healthy crowds visited the two venues this past weekend, while more than 75 drivers were seen roaming the malls, checking out the new paint schemes and bench racing with their fellow racers and teams as curious mall patrons checked out the cars that dotted the mall concourses.

Stan Yee Memorial Part of Moran Chevy 150 at Flat Rock
FLAT ROCK, MI (6-4-08)--Flat Rock Speedway's biggest Late Model race of the season, the Moran Chevrolet 150, has now taken on an added flavor for the 2008 edition of the event. The Saturday, June 21 contest will now be known as the Moran Chevrolet/Stan Yee Memorial 150. Yee, a hugely successful car owner for over 40 years, passed away May 18, just 2 days shy of his 76th birthday.

(TOLEDO, Ohio - June 21, 2012) - Toledo Speedway will present its 2nd open-wheel racing event of the season Friday evening, June 29 for the annual Hemelgarn Racing/Super Fitness United States Auto Club (USAC) double-header. Effective with the Friday, July 13 ARCA Sportsman division race at Toledo Speedway, and for all future races, drivers will be required to have 2-way radio communication with a spotter located in the designated spotter area for the feature race. Drivers will not be allowed to be on the track in the feature event without the spotter in place with a working 2-way radio.

(TOLEDO, Ohio—July 6, 2012) - Despite temperatures nearing the 100 degree mark and a searing sun, Harold Fair Jr. grabbed the victory in Friday night’s ARCA Allegiant Late Model Gold Cup 100 lap feature event. Dennis Whisman took the 25 lap Road Course race, on a course that used parts of the ¼ mile, ½ mile and pit road. The heat kept the crowd down but a hearty group of fans showed for the night of racing at the Glass City oval.

Effective August 1, 2012, the price of Sunoco Racing Fuel at both tracks will be reduced by 50 cents per gallon. Fuel price will now be $8 per gallon.
The weekly $50 random draw Sunoco/Corrigan Oil bonus at Flat Rock for weekly events and the Sunoco/Bazell Race Fuels weekly $50 random draw for teams that purchase a minimum of 5 gallons of race fuel on those nights remains in effect through Championship Nights at both tracks.
**Effective immediately, used racing tires will no longer be accepted at either track until further notice.

FLAT ROCK SPEEDWAY WEATHER UPDATE-11:50 A.M. THE SHOW IS ON!
Flat Rock Speedway, 11:50 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012: The track is dry and we are preparing for tonight's show, featuring the return of the MSA Super Modifieds for the first time in over 30 years. The Flat Rock Street Stocks, Figure 8's and 4 Cylinders are also in action tonight.
There still is a chance of a shower, but hopefully it won't interfere with our plans.
Our best advise is to check the website for any further updates or call the track at 734-782-2480 before you hit the road. The quickly-changing weather conditions of this front keep everyone guessing.
IF any change occurs in tonight's plans, we will post it immediately here on this webpage.
Pits open at 2:30 for MSA, 3 p.m. for Flat Rock cars. Practice at 4, time trials at 5:30, racing at 7 p.m.
