Toledo Speedway 50th Anniversary: A Look Back at 1990

1990-VANDERLAAN WINS AGAIN IN ROUMELL SERIES

Bruce Vanderlaan again was dominating in taking the 100-lap 2nd leg of the Roumell 900 Series at Toledo Speedway.

Vanderlaan worked his way out front early, leading the 24 starters to the flag in a race which only produced one brief caution period. Chasing Vanderlaan to the stripe were Tim Ice and Harold Fair, who came home 3rd on an off weekend from competing on the American Speed Association (ASA) Series.

Second generation driver Jerry Cook followed the winning ways of his father Harold Cook, capturing the late model sportsman event over Mark Scott and Dan Delisle. Joe Rooks withstood the challenges from Kenny Rapp and Dennis Randall to score a win in the ever-thrilling figure-8 class.
