(TOLEDO, Ohio - July 15, 2010) - For the second straight week, the Thursday night Placers Car Club Classic Car Show at Toledo Speedway has been cancelled due to the extreme heat and the forecast for storms later in the day.

The car show will resume next Thursday, July 22, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  A band will provide music during the show.

TOLEDO, OH  (7-16-2010):  Santa Claus greeted race fans for the Lakeshore Utility Trailer/Velvet Ice Cream Christmas in July prize giveaway Friday night at Toledo Speedway.  Cory McCaughey was the winner of the ARCA Factory Stock special event, while Jim Froling, Dennis Whisman and Perry Marlow were also feature winners that visited the Sunny D Winner’s Circle.  Neal Ray and Donna Young from Velvet Ice Cream presented the trophies, while Santa Claus handed out dozens of prizes to the race fans.

(FLAT ROCK, Mich. - July 17, 2010) - Tim Moore came back after crashing last week and scored the big win in the Leppen Chiropractic 100 for the ARCA DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks Saturday night at Flat Rock Speedway. James Rae captured the B Main and Greg Studt notched the Figure 8 win on Christmas in July Night, which featured Santa Claus and dozens of prizes that were given away to race fans. Dr. Cecilia Leppen and her children presented the trophies to the winners.

(TOLEDO, Ohio - July 21, 2010) - NASCAR Sprint Cup Series star Kyle Busch will visit Toledo Speedway on Friday, August 13 to sign autographs and meet fans. Busch was previously scheduled to race in the CRA Late Model 100-lap event at the Glass City oval, but those plans have changed due to obligations with his Sprint Cup team.

(FLAT ROCK, Mich. - July 24, 2010) - Driving the Giles Auto Body No. 88, Ron Allen tuned up for next weekend's Butch Giles Memorial 100 with his win in the 50-lap ARCA Moran Chevrolet Late Model feature on All Sport Night at Flat Rock Speedway. Dan Ford Jr., Steve Chartrand, Greg Studt, and Levi Rouster all picked up feature wins. The track staff worked right up until practice to get rid of the water from Friday night's heavy storms, and just as the program ended, the rain returned Saturday evening.

Saturday, July 17 was the annual 100 lap feature for the Street Stock A division. Tim Moore won the biggest race of his 20-year racing career taking over the lead on lap 71, leading the remaining 30 laps. "I thought I was racing Chad (Guinn) for second. Dan (Ford) was way head of us, and thought he was the leader ... didn't know he was down laps. I want to thank my family and girlfriend. And my crew for helping get the car back together after the wreck last week. I want to thank my neighbor Kurt for buying my tires for tonight ... I wouldn't be here without him," said the driver of the Moore Lawn Care, Dow Engines #83, who did multiple doughnuts afterwards on the frontstretch. Tim has taken the points lead from Dan Ford Jr. ...

(FLAT ROCK, Mich. - July 31, 2010) - Despite inclement weather in the region surrounding Flat Rock Speedway, the track has not experienced any rain or severe weather as of 11 a.m. Eastern today. Flat Rock, MI  (7-31-10)--  Trenton, MI native Paul Pelletier steered his way to an exciting victory in the Butch Giles Memorial 100 for the ARCA Moran Chevrolet Late Models Saturday night at Flat Rock Speedway.  The event was also the 5th and final leg in the Allegiant Air Gold Cup Series, contested between Flat Rock and its sister track, Toledo Speedway.  Grand Rapids, MI driver Mike Root won a thrilling duel with Scott Hantz to repeat at Gold Cup champ that was decided at the stripe on the final lap of the event.  Henry and Jeff Giles, representing their family and Giles Auto Body, presented trophies to the victors. ...

TOLEDO, OH  (7-30-10)--  A large crowd gathered for Kid's Night at Toledo Speedway on a beautiful Friday evening.  Each child up to age 14 was admitted free and received a free hot dog, chips and a drink, courtesy of Sherwood Foods, Bar S Hot Dogs, Seyfert's Snacks and the Dr. Pepper/Snapple Group.  Ron Allen, Jeremy Vanderhoof and Eric Huston notched feature wins and visited the Sunny D Winner's Circle in post-race festivities. ...

Flat Rock, MI  (8-7-10) --  Defending champion Jeff Maran notched his third consecutive victory in Saturday night's 250 lap Enduro race at Flat Rock Speedway.  Maran will go for the sweep in the championship race, a 300 lap contest, September 18.  Tom O'Leary IV/Charlie Williams took the entertaining Figure 8 train race, while David Price was the top dog in the ARCA 4 Cylinder main event. ...

(TOLEDO, Ohio - August 10, 2010) - The CRA Super Series will make its first of two straight visits to the Buckeye State Friday in the Klotz Synthetic Lubricants 100 Presented by Spray Power at Toledo Speedway. Friday's event will be the 12th CRA Super Series event that has been contested on the fast half-mile ARCA-sanctioned track. NASCAR star and part-time CRA Super Series competitor Kyle Busch will be on hand for Friday's event, but he will not be able to race because of his commitments to his NASCAR Sprint Cup race team. (TOLEDO, Ohio - August 19, 2010) - The Placers Car Club American Graffiti Tour at Toledo Speedway was a success yet again, marking another super cruise night for Make-A-Wish of Northwest Ohio. Once again, the cruisers came out in huge numbers in support of the show for Toledo-area children.
