On New Year's Day, Steve Chartrand and his father, Jim, took their Street Stock to Sandusky Speedway's annual Hangover race. Steve competed in the Champagne class with Late Models and Sportsman cars and took the feature win! (See photo). Congratulations, Steve!
...Placers Car Club Cruisin' Moves to Toledo Speedway
TOLEDO, OH: (2-16-09): One of Toledo's most-established Classic Car clubs will hold their Thursday night cruises at Toledo Speedway in 2009. Beginning May 7 and running each Thursday through October, the Placers Car Club Cruisin' will be held in the track parking lot and grounds, located just a ¼ mile from I-75 on Benore Road.

TOLEDO, OH: (1-30-09): Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway management is proud to announce the continued associations with two companies for the 2009 racing programs at the pair of ARCA-sanctioned short tracks. Allegiant Air will once again serve as a co-sponsor of the Late Model Gold Cup Series, while Five Star Race Car Bodies returns with contingency programs for both the ARCA Street Stock class at Flat Rock and the ARCA Sportsman division at Toledo.

Moran Chevrolet Returns to Sponsor Flat Rock Late Models
FLAT ROCK, MI: (1-26-09): Good things come in groups of threes. And for the third consecutive season, Moran Chevrolet will step to the front and serve as the sponsor of the ARCA Late Model class at Flat Rock Speedway. Pat Moran has confirmed the sponsorship at a recent meeting with track officials.

Mike Bolick Update (1-17-09)
Long time Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway ARCA driver, car owner and sponsor Mike Bolick has been hospitalized after suffering multiple gunshot wounds in an attack Friday January 9 outside his home in Carleton, Michigan. He is currently in the intensive care unit at St. Vincent Mercy Memorial Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio, and is in critical but stable condition. Bolick, 54, is the owner of MB Windows & Doors and is the long time sponsor of ARCA Late Model driver Joe Hawes. Mike's father Reed Bolick Sr. owned ARCA late models driven by Fran Harden in the 1970s and his brothers Pat and Reed Jr. also raced. Mike Bolick's condition has been upgraded and he may be released from the hospital to return home as early as today.

FLAT ROCK, MI: (1-14-09): Flat Rock Speedway management and the Dr. Pepper/Snapple Bottling Group is pleased to announce the formation of a marketing partnership for the next 3 racing seasons at the ¼ mile asphalt oval. Beginning with this April, the Toledo, OH based soft drink distributor will provide product to "The Rock" for Flat Rock's concession operation.
