TOLEDO SPEEDWAY FRIDAY NIGHT OPENER MAY 9; SCOUTS ARE FREE!

(Toledo, Ohio - May 6, 2014) - Friday night racing action gets the green flag May 9 at Toledo Speedway for the first time in 2014. Scout Night is also scheduled for Friday evening, with all scouts in uniform and leaders in uniform or with an ID card admitted FREE as guests of the speedway!

The weekly Friday night family fun and entertainment at Toledo Speedway kicks off with the sights, sounds and smells of brightly-colored race cars, burning rubber and popcorn filling the air! Slick, the track’s mascot, will be on hand to greet fans of all ages. The speedway’s Autograph Alley will be in operation as feature winners and their race machines are brought up into the grandstand area during the evening!

Adults are just $12 each, children 6-12 are just $3 and children under the age of 6 are admitted free of charge. Parking is FREE on the track grounds. No coolers or outside beverages are permitted in the grandstand area.

Toledo Speedway features great viewing of all the action on both the ¼ mile and ½ mile ovals. All seating is general admission and on a first-come, first-serve basis. The grandstand sections feature permanent seating for the comfort and enjoyment of the race fan. A no alcohol section is also in place, as well as a large handicap-accessible viewing area.

The grandstand area opens at 5, race car practice begins at 5, qualifying is at 6:15 and racing begins at 7:30 p.m. Fans will see the ARCA Aramark Sportsman cars battle on the ½ mile, while the ARCA Praxair Figure 8’s will thrill fans on the Figure 8 track with their daredevil driving style of dodge-em cars at the intersection! The ARCA R & M Recycling X Cars tackle the ¼ mile oval with fender to fender action.
