Mason Metzger Set for Folds of Honor 50 Glass City Race

TOLEDO, OH — At just 14 years old, Mason Metzger is already making history in Michigan short-track racing. On Saturday, October 3, the Portage, Michigan teenager will take on Toledo Speedway's Folds of Honor 50 driven by Lakeside Interior Contractors Outlaw Super Late Model Feature presented by Valley Truck Centers, Tom’s Collision, and R&M Recycling as part of Stars, Stripes and Speed Fest.

Metzger recently became the youngest driver in Kalamazoo Speedway's 76-year history to win a feature in its premier Late Model division, earning his first career full-sized Late Model victory at just 14 years old. He started 14th and charged through the field following a late restart to capture the win.

The victory continued a remarkable Bozell family racing tradition. Metzger is the fourth generation of the Bozell family to win at Kalamazoo, joining his grandfather Andy, uncle Phil and great-grandfather Gordy, as well as his cousin Bryce Bozell, who is also competing at Toledo on October 3.

Metzger has also recently stepped into Outlaw Super Late Model competition, making his debut in his grandfather's famous No. 83 car at Owosso Speedway. He will now bring that young but growing résumé to Toledo's half-mile.

The Folds of Honor 50 will award the winner the 38th running of the Glass City 200, giving Metzger an opportunity to add another major accomplishment to his already impressive 2026 season.
