PNC BANK, TOLEDO SPEEDWAY TEAM UP FOR CHILDHOOD LITERACY

(TOLEDO, Ohio - May 28, 2013) - Friday, May 31 Toledo Speedway will join forces with PNC Bank to be a “Champion for Childhood Literacy”.  Fans that donate a new book at the track when arriving for this Friday’s racing show will receive a $5 discount off the adult admission price.

PNC staff members will be on hand to greet race fans in front of the ticket office to collect the new books.  All books will be donated to a local library in the greater Toledo area. 

“We are very pleased to work with PNC Bank for this worthy cause,” noted Ron Drager, promoter of the Glass City track.  “We would like to encourage our race fans to join with us in supporting this cause by bringing a new book to the track this Friday.”

When the book is donated, the fan will receive a $5 discount voucher to be applied to the night’s cost of an adult admission ticket.

The track will host its popular Autograph Night this Friday, May 31.  Race fans will be permitted to walk onto the track and meet the drivers at Toledo Speedway. The spectator gates open at 5, the on-track autograph session will take place at 7 and racing begins at 7:30 p.m. 

The Chick-Fil-A Cow will also be on hand to greet the race fans.  The ARCA ACME Dismantling Sportsman, Parts Galore Figure 8’s, R & M Recycling X Cars and the ARCA 4 Cylinders will provide the wheel to wheel, fender to fender excitement on the race track.
