Flat Rock/Toledo Bowling Tournament Rolls

TOLEDO, OH:  The New Glass Bowl Lanes hosted the Flat Rock/Toledo Speedway bowling tournament Sunday afternoon.  The group of about 25 bowlers took part in the 9-Pin No Tap tournament being held at the Glass Bowl, which serves as the sponsor of Toledo's Winner's Circle.  Owner Ron Gorney also furnishes the tour bus for the track during the summer months.

Track official Mike Sheldon took top honors in game 1 with a 300, while Late Model/Figure 8 driver Jeremy Vanderhoof duplicated that feat in game 2. Vanderhoof came back with a 278 in the final game to top the charts. Drivers taking part included Josh Bunting, Dennis Randall, Brad Turner, Steve Cronenwett Sr., Steve Cronenwett Jr., Vanderhoof, Justin Schroeder, Paul Hahn, Steve Prucnell and Mary Prucnell . A group of officials, crewmen and family members filled out the teams for the fun afternoon. Even Gary Lindahl showed to display his talents, which were not noticeable on this day!

The plan is to continue the tournament, which will feature a date at an alley near Flat Rock and a date again at the Glass Bowl Lanes in Toledo at the end of the 2009 racing season.
