1976 Race Against Cancer T-Shirt
$30.00

1976---ARCA founder John Marcum and Toledo Speedway promoter put together the "Race Against Cancer" and called upon his friends at NASCAR to headline the event at Toledo Speedway.  The Grand Marshall for the race was none other than the King himself, Richard Petty.  Petty is shown here presenting the checkered flag to Wisconsin's Tom Reffner, the 4-car dash winner that night.

Joy Fair was the winner of the 100 lap Late Model race.  A host of NASCAR's top stars competed in the event, including Benny Parsons, Cale Yarborough, Darrell Waltrip and Bobby Allison.  The event raised thousands of dollars for the American Cancer Society of Toledo.

This shirt harkens back to the race poster for this race at Toledo Speedway - using the imaging of the poster while naming some of the legends of Toledo Speedway's history - track champions Joy Fair, John Anderson, Joe Ruttman, and Danny Byrd.
