But now, Glass City 200 champions have another way to leave their mark on Toledo.

A new tradition was introduced in 2024 when the Glass City 200 winner Casey Roderick was given the opportunity to sign one of Tony Packo’s famous hot dog buns, joining an extraordinary list of celebrities, athletes, entertainers, politicians and other notable figures who have participated in the iconic Toledo tradition.

The tradition of signing Packo’s buns dates back to 1972, when actor Burt Reynolds visited the famous Toledo restaurant and signed a bun after being asked for an autograph. What started as a simple autograph has grown into one of Toledo’s most recognizable traditions, with signed buns from countless famous visitors displayed throughout Tony Packo’s locations.

Now, the Glass City 200 has become part of that history.

For the winning driver, the experience is about more than simply putting a signature on a bun. It represents a connection between two pieces of Toledo history, Tony Packo’s and Toledo Speedway’s Glass City 200.
