Short Track Superstar Bubba Pollard Enters CorvetteParts.net Glass City 200

A short track legend is coming to Toledo on Saturday, September 13th. Bubba Pollard has been announced as an entry for the 37th Running of the CorvetteParts.net Glass City 200.
One of the all-time greats of the United States late models scene, Bubba Pollard hails from Senoia Speedway in Georgia. From beginnings as a third-generation driver, Pollard departed from weekly racing in 2003 and began competing in touring series across the south. Since then, Pollard and his famous number 26 has won late model events in over 15 states, and at 30 different tracks. Pollard made headlines this August when he won at Mobile in the CraneWorks 100.
Among his accolades, he is currently the all-time winningest driver in the ASA Southern Super Series, with 36 victories. He has taken a number of crown jewel asphalt late model events, including the All-American 400, Oxford 250, Slinger Nationals, Money in the Bank, Florida’s Governor’s Cup, and others.
In 2024, Pollard jumped behind the wheel of the #88 JR Motorsports Chevrolet to race in multiple NASCAR Xfinity Series races, taking a sixth place run at Richmond Raceway in front of friends and family.
Toledo Speedway will host Ohio’s lone race on the ASA STARS National Tour schedule on Saturday, September 13th. The series is a revival of the original ASA National Tour, which began in 1973 and became a defining launchpad for many of the greatest drivers in American motorsports history. Notable series alumni include series champions Dick Trickle, Mark Martin, Johnny Benson, and Rusty Wallace, as well as former drivers Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch, Matt Kenseth, Darrell Waltrip, and Alan Kulwicki. Ty Majeski took the 2023 championship, and Casey Roderick took both the 2024 Glass City 200 and the eventual series championship.
Over the years, Pollard has notably competed three times at Toledo. In April 2013, he competed in ARCA Midwest Tour racing, finishing in fifth place. In May 2015, he returned to Toledo in ARCA Menards Series action, finishing in 18th after an incident ended his day early. In 2023, Pollard finished fourth in his return to the Glass City Speedway, taking a top five run in the 35th edition of the Glass City 200 race.
Toledo Speedway is just ¼ mile off I-75 at the Alexis Road exit on the Michigan-Ohio border. The track is at 5639 Benore Rd in Toledo, Ohio. Toledo Speedway is one of the fastest half mile tracks of the midwest, less than 1 mile away from the Michigan-Ohio border.
