500 Sprint Car Tour Season Resumes at Toledo Speedway

After taking a short break for teams to focus on the non-points earning 77th Annual Unified Group Services Little 500 presented by UAW, the 2025 500 Sprint Car Tour season resumes on Saturday, June 7th at Toledo Speedway. The series competed at Toledo Speedway for the first time in 2023, and the decision was made immediately following that event to make the track a regular stop on the 500 Sprint Car Tour Schedule. With the Little 500 officially in the back of everyone’s mind, the chase for the 2025 Championship begins at one of the most famous short tracks in the Midwest.
A strong entry list is expected for the 500 Sprint Car Tour return to Toledo Speedway. 2025 Little 500 Champion Jake Trainor will make his first start at Toledo with the 500 Sprint Car Tour as he looks to continue the momentum he found towards the end of the Little 500. In 2024, Tyler Roahrig had an impressive drive en route to winning his first 500 Sprint Car Tour event at Toledo Speedway. Starting in 9th following a tough qualifying session, Roahrig powered his way through the field, claiming his first of four victories in 2024. Roahrig will be back in the #56 CB Fabricating machine as he looks to win again at Toledo.
Defending 500 Sprint Car Tour Champion, Kody Swanson, will be making his second start of the 2025 season with the Salem Speedway sponsored #33 machine owned by Nick Bohanon. Swanson won the first 500 Sprint Car Tour event at Toledo Speedway in 2023 in what was also a championship defending season. Swanson has also had great success at Toledo Speedway with the USAC Silver Crown series, as he has eight victories at the Northern Ohio track. Dakoda Armstrong currently leads the 2025 points standings after an impressive Glen Niebel Classic victory at Anderson Speedway in early April. A victory at Toledo would be the first time Armstrong has won multiple events in a single 500 Sprint Car Tour season.
Other notable entries for this event include Nathan Byrd, Donnie Adams Jr., Davey Hamilton Jr., Jackson Macenko, Rylan Gray, and Kyle O’Gara. Byrd and Adams Jr. will look to exercise their Little 500 demons as Byrd was bumped from the field on Friday qualifying, and Adams Jr. had bad luck from the minute he pushed off. Hamilton Jr. and O’Gara are looking to continue momentum found during the Little 500 with Hamilton Jr. qualifying on the front row and finishing third, and O’Gara rebounding from a lap 1 incident to ultimately finish in second place. Gray and Macenko also had great Little 500 starts with Gray finishing 11th and winning Rookie of the Year, and Macenko driving to a career best fifth place.
The All American Coach Open Wheel Special Presented by Monroe Asphalt at Toledo Speedway is set for Saturday, June 7th. Along with the 500 Sprint Car Tour will be the Midwest Modified Tour, Chuchill Factor Stocks, and Salenbien Late Model Sportsman. All tickets are General Admission seating, and tickets are $25 for adults and $5 for kids 6-12. Racing begins at 7:00pm and all of the night’s action can be seen live on DIRTVision.
