Thank you everyone who made it out to opening day! It takes a lot of time and effort from the drivers, teams, sponsors, and track employees to get prepared for the season.

RADIOS:

We had issues with teams not having their radios ready before rolling onto the track on Saturday. REMINDER, the radio frequency is posted in the tech barn and at the pit board. This is a safety issue; this will be monitored closely for the upcoming race. Make sure your radio is ready and working.

NEW RACE: SECOND PLACE RACE (TOLEDO SPEEDWAY)

Starting this Friday, May 10 at Toledo Speedway. The Flagpole race will be replaced with a SECOND PLACE RACE. Yes, this race is exactly how it sounds. The driver that finishes second will win $150 and receive the trophy. All other participants will receive $50.

We are still in need of some boat race participants. This race pays $100, contact Brandon at bhamby@marcumracing.com if you plan on racing the boat race or the second place race.

OUTLAW SUPER LATE MODELS:

Reminder, we are paying the Outlaw Super Late Models via Direct Deposit ACH. If you raced this past Saturday and did not turn in your ACH form please send it to bhamby@marcumracing.com or swilliams@arcaracing.com

Reminder: The 50 lap Motor City Madness race is this Saturday.

We will be doing driver intros in front of the grandstands like we do for the Joy Fair, Stan Yee, and Street Stock 100 races. This is a great opportunity to throw race shirts, sponsorship material, etc. to the fans.

We will line the cars up on the front stretch then you will walk under the flag stand. If you line up on the outside row, you will stage on the south side of the grandstand. If you are on the inside line, you will stage on the north side.

Pits Open: 3:30 

Practice: 5:15

Racing: 7 p.m.

Factory Stock feature-20 laps

FLAT ROCK TIME SCHEDULE (SATURDAY, MAY 11)

Noon:     Pit Gates Open

2 pm:      Practice: SS, OSLM, F8 – 10 lap sessions

               Qualifying: 4 lap sessions: SS, OSLM-3 cars at a time, F8- 3 cars at a time

4 pm:

OSLM Heats

SS Heats – all

F8 Heats

OSLM Feature – 50 laps

SS A Main – 25 laps

SS B Main – 15 laps (if necessary)

F8 MOTOR CITY MADNESS – 50 laps
