Weather Update: Tornado Touches Down Near Toledo Speedway

UPDATE:

At Approximately 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 15 a strong thunderstorm which developed a tornado passed through northeast Toledo. The tornado touched down quarter mile east of the track, leveling several buildings, knocking down power lines and trees, leaving much of the Toledo-Point place community without power. Damage was sustained at the Toledo Speedway; however, the damage that was sustained is minimal. The Toledo Speedway and ARCA staff will be on site to begin cleanup tomorrow morning. Currently, we are still moving forward with hosting the Father’s Day Special presented by Monroe Asphalt on Sunday, June 18.
