SCORE ONE FOR THE LADIES-STEPHANIE BRADLEY TAKES TOLEDO BUS RACE

Toledo, Ohio-July 3, 2022:  Fan favorite Stephanie Bradley crashed and careened her way to win the Monroe Superstore School Bus Figure 8 race presented by All American Coach Sunday night at Toledo Speedway.  The event was rained out Friday and was held on a picture-perfect evening.  Jeremy Jennings of the Monroe Superstore and Tom and Jim McGuire of All American Coach presented the trophies in the Monroe Asphalt Winner’s Circle.

AJ Padgett hit everything but the concrete walls, as did his fellow competitors.  With 2 laps to go, AJ’s bus blew out 2 tires, began to billow smoke and finally came to a stop while leading.  Bradley, who competes in the ARCA Figure 8 division, snaked around the carnage as only 2 buses were running as Stephanie took the checkered flag as the crowd roared its approval.  Terry Smith kept his bus barely moving as he inflicted plenty of hits, and Sam Mills plowed into Jack Franzil, putting Jack over on his side.  Mills, Dennis Whisman Jr., Padgett, Eugene Worden and Franzil were next in line in the rundown.

Bus sponsors were The Monroe Superstore, Central Avenue Truck Parts, Rosenboom, Enviro Tire Recycling,  PB Fabrication and R & M Recycling.

The Vault ARCA Factory Stocks were in action Sunday also, with Lonnie York holding off race-long challenges from several competitors to win the 20-lap feature race over Randy Padgett Jr., Brian Ringger, Craig Osenbaugh, Steve Smith, Hunter Padgett, James Rae, Brad Turner, Logan Bunting and Matt Bunting.  Osenbaugh set fast time at 12:627.  Smith pulled off the win in the 4-car, 4 lap dash that saw a 3-wide finish.  Rae took the heat win.

Jakob Lee led every lap to win the 20-lap ARCA R & M Recycling Figure 8 contest over Whisman Jr., Jeremy Vanderhoof, Dennis Whisman Sr., Race Loving, Bradley, Worden and Brice Thomsen.   Vanderhoof took the heat race win.

The ½ mile action saw Jim Froling score the win in the 25 lap ARCA Salenbien Excavating Late Model Sportsman feature race.  Kyle Worley closed in on the final laps to apply pressure to Jim, but he had enough cushion to take the win.  Worley,  Andy Harding, James Brazeau, Howard Kelley Jr. and Todd Perkins were next in line at the finish.  Froling set quick time at 17:381.

Dennis Whisman Sr. took the Boat Figure 8 win, while Whisman Jr. zipped to the win in the Flag Pole race.
