MIDWEST MODIFIEDS THUNDER INTO TOLEDO SUNDAY, MAY 22; CLEAN HARBORS/SAFETY KLEEN KIDS DAY AND AUTOGRAPH DAY!

It’s a great afternoon of family fun Sunday, May 22 as Clean Harbors/Safety Kleen sponsor Kids Day and Autograph Day!  Kids up to age 12 will be admitted FREE and receive a FREE hot dog, only at Toledo Speedway!  Parents can pick up the kids tickets at the track on race day when purchasing their tickets.  Fans will be able to walk onto the track and meet the drivers Sunday afternoon!

The May 22 event marks the return of the Midwest Modified Tour to Toledo Speedway.  The Modifieds are making their first appearance at the fast ½ mile paved oval for the first time since 2016.  A strong list of 29 Midwest Mods is pre-entered for the Sunday afternoon event.  Drivers from Michigan, Ohio and Indiana are entered, led by Blake Rowe, who won the ARCA/CRA Super Series Super Late Model portion of Toledo’s famed Glass City 200 race last September.

Former Toledo winner Brian Nester is entered, as is Jeff Ganus, the 2014 ARCA Outlaw Super Late Model Gold Cup Series champion.  Nester is the track record holder of the 1 lap mark for the Modifieds at Toledo at 16:372, set June 24, 2016.

Second-generation driver Trevor Berry of Clio, MI has filed his entry.  Berry’s father, Dennis, had great success at Toledo during his Late Model career, racking up 15 wins and 3 straight “Iceman” Series titles from 1993 to 1995.

A majority of the field will be making their first appearance at the Glass City oval for this race Sunday afternoon.

The track will also host City of Toledo Employee Appreciation Day and Racing Fan Club Day Sunday afternoon.

The front gates and ticket office open at 11 a.m., practice begins at 11, with qualifying to follow.  The on-track autograph session is at 1 p.m. and racing starts at 2 p.m.
