Toledo Speedway

We hope that you, your family and friends are safe and healthy as we near the Christmas holiday and New Year.  We hope that with the arrival of the vaccines that things can return to “normal” in the coming months.

We have a few more dates and several items to release as we continue to plan for the 2021 racing season.  We will release the complete schedules in mid-January.

**Please remember that our 2021 schedules are subject to change due to the virus issue.  We expect to be under some sort of orders or guidelines to start the season.  Remember that we are operating in 2 different states---which means 2 sets of orders, at least that’s the way it’s been all along through this.  IF we are limited on fans, we will adjust the schedule as necessary and may have to drop a class or reduce the special events to “weekly” shows.

TOLEDO

We will open Sunday afternoon, May 16-School Bus Figure 8, Boat Figure 8, Late Model Sportsman and Factory Stocks.  *Pre-season practice Wednesday, May 12.

Late Model Sportsman (LMSP):  Once again, the points for all your races at both Flat Rock and Toledo will be combined.

Factory Stocks (FS):  You have 2 races at Flat Rock and several races at Toledo (number not yet finalized); points for all your races at both tracks will be combined.  The four (4) Flat Rock Enduro races will be a separate point system.

*Season Championships for both the LMSP and FS will be Sunday, October 10, which is the date of the USAC Silver Crown 100.  There will be no rain date for this race.

FLAT ROCK

We have scheduled several Wednesday night practices during the season, in addition to our pre-season practices (as announced Nov. 19). 

*Date change:  The Friday, July 2 School Bus Figure 8 race is being moved to Saturday, July 3.  Rain Date will be Sunday, July 4.

Concrete pad rentals:  2020 paid pad rentals have been transferred to 2021, unless you request a refund.  We have spoken to most of you about this.  Pad rentals will be available February 1. 

SPONSORS

We are very pleased to announce the return of several division sponsors:  Moran Chevrolet (FR Late Models), DTS Drive Train Specialists (Street Stocks) and The Vault (Factory Stocks and Enduro). DTS will also sponsor the Joy Fair Memorial at Flat Rock in 2021, and the Moran Chevrolet Stan Yee Memorial continues.  We have been in contact with several more sponsors and will announce them as they are secured.

RULES

The 2021 rules will remain the same as the 2020 package. **Helmets with Snell Rating of 2010 or newer will remain in effect.  For 2022, we will move to 2015 or newer.  Please make a note of this as you check your safety equipment for the upcoming season.

Individual race tickets for special events at both tracks will go on sale April 1.

We will no longer offer reserved seating at Toledo, which was only available for the ARCA race and Glass City 200.  The demand has not been there since the new seating was installed 5 years ago.

Look for a shorter race day on most events at both tracks.  We’ll get there and open up, shorten our practice/qualifying session(s) and be ready for race time.  More details on this soon.

The Gold Cup Series format and point system will be dropped for 2021.  We will continue to hold those races with the same format and payoffs.

FLAT ROCK OPENING NIGHT is Saturday, May 1:  Outlaw Super Late Models (OSLM), Figure 8’s (F8), Street Stocks (SS).

Pre-Season Practice Days:  Saturday, April 18, Saturday, April 25.

Saturday, May 29: DTS Drive Train Specialists Joy Fair Memorial 100 (rain date Sun. May 30).

Saturday, July 3:  School Bus Figure 8 race, OSLM, F8, Boat Race, Flag Pole Race (rain date is Sunday, July 4).

Saturday, July 10:  Firecracker 150:  OSLM-50, SS-50, F8-30, SS B Main-20 laps and fireworks

Saturday, July 24: Moran Chevrolet Stan Yee Memorial 150

**Flat Rock will run 2 FRIDAY NIGHT SHOWS in 2021:  These dates are to accommodate racing at Toledo on those 2 Saturday nights.

Friday, May 21:  Outlaw Super Late Models, Figure 8’s, Street Stocks. 7:30 p.m. start.

Friday, August 6:  Enduro 250, F8, SS. 7:30 p.m. start

Saturday, May 22:  ARCA Menards Series 200, plus LMSP (Late Model Sportsman), FS (Factory Stocks).  Features in late afternoon, ARCA race at 8 p.m.

Friday, June 18:  School Bus Figure 8 race, plus LMSP, F8, FS, Boat Figure 8.

Thursday, July 1:  O’Reilly Auto Parts All Star Monster Truck Tour!  Rain or shine, 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, August 7:  62^nd Anniversary Show:  OSLM, LMSP, F8, FS, SS.

Saturday, September 18:  Glass City 200

Sunday, October 10:  USAC Silver Crown Series-100 laps, plus LMSP, FS Championships (no rain date for this event).
