Toledo Speedway

Steve Clarke, former ARCA Figure-8 driver at Toledo Speedway and son of long-time ARCA Marketing Director Jim Clarke, died November 6th, 2020 at the age of 64.

Steve worked as an auto mechanic at various auto repair facilities in Toledo. His passion for cars saw him follow in his stepfather Jim’s footsteps, becoming a race car driver. Steve Clarke raced in the ARCA Figure-8 division at Toledo Speedway in the 1970s and was a lifelong fan and supporter of the sport.

Steve is survived by his wife; daughter; granddaughters; Mother Barb Sedelbauer of Temperance Michigan; Father Jim Clarke of Taveras Florida; 3 sisters; and many cousins and stepbrothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law Eddie Tolliver; and stepfather Howard Sedelbauer; and aunts and uncles.

A memorial will be held at a later date at Ashland Church in Oregon, Ohio. Memorial donations may be made to SKLD Nursing, Perrysburg, Ohio; or NW Ohio Hospice, Perrysburg, Ohio.
