DTS, MORAN CHEVY TO SUPPORT CENTRAL TRANSPORT GLASS CITY 200; ENTRY FORMS READY

Toledo, Ohio—September 3, 2020: A pair of long-standing supporters of auto racing and Toledo and Flat Rock Speedways will serve as presenting sponsors for the 32nd running of the Central Transport Glass City 200, set for Saturday, September 19 at Toledo.  DTS Drive Train Specialists and Moran Chevrolet have agreed to the sponsorship for the signature event of the track.

DTS has held the title sponsorship of the ARCA Street Stocks at Flat Rock Speedway for many years, in addition to serving as a sponsor of several individual races at both tracks.  For the 2020 Glass City race, DTS will add $100 to positions 12-24 for the Outlaw Super Late Model race, which will now pay $600 to start.  The winner will take home $2500, with bonus money also available.

Moran Chevrolet boss Pat Moran has also pledged his support for the Glass City event.  Moran is currently the ARCA Outlaw Super Late Model division sponsor at Flat Rock and has been involved with many races for the class at both tracks for many seasons, including the Moran Chevrolet Stan Yee Memorial 150 at Flat Rock.  Moran Chevrolet will sponsor the Moran Chevrolet Hard Charger Award, a $100 bonus to the driver that improves the most positions in the Outlaw Super Late Model race September 19.

Moran will also sponsor two cars for the event, as 2019 Flat Rock champion Frank Jiovani will be joined by a teammate for the race-Angola, IN speedster Scott Hantz.  Hantz will pilot the #72 machine for the Toledo event.

The entry forms have been posted under the Racer Information button at www.toledospeedway.com.

The Outlaw Super Late Models and the ARCA/CRA Super Series powered by Jeg’s stock-bodied Late Models will each battle in 100 lap main events on the fast ½ mile paved oval.  The ARCA/CRA race is part of the 2020 “Chase” for the Championship. LV Alliance has posted a $200 bonus for the Fast Qualifier for the Outlaw Super Late Models.

The CRA Jr. Late Models, a class set up for ages 10-15, will also be a part of the 200 race day. That division will run heats and a feature on Toledo’s short track.

In accordance with the August 19 State of Ohio Department of Health Director’s Order, Toledo Speedway’s plan for strict adherence to the guidelines outlined has resulted in approval by the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department for limited spectator attendance in the grandstands.  The track will host three premier races to close out the 2020 racing season.

With the limited schedule of races, and only 1500 tickets available for each event, fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets as soon as possible.  Tickets are now on sale.  All tickets are $25 each, and tickets will ONLY be available online at www.toledospeedway.com

As a priority, the safety and health of participants, spectators and employees will require all attendees to follow guidelines posted at www.toledospeedway.com as a condition for admission.

Saturday, September 19, race day begins with registration at 8:30 and the pit gates opening at 9 a.m.  The spectator gates will open at 3 p.m, with qualifying at 3:30 p.m.  Race time is 5 p.m.  A rain date of Sunday, September 20 at 1 p.m. has been established.
