FLAT ROCK-TOLEDO SPEEDWAY UPDATE—August 7, 2020

FLAT ROCK-TOLEDO SPEEDWAY UPDATE—August 7, 2020

As you know, there have been no changes from the States of Ohio and Michigan in the orders regarding the Coronavirus since our last update on July 31.

The State of Ohio and the Lucas County Health Department have stated no speedways are to have spectators in the grandstands.  Therefore, the Friday, August 14 race at Toledo Speedway is cancelled.

The Governor of the State of Michigan announced many weeks ago that the area which includes Flat Rock Speedway would remain in Phase 4, which allows for a maximum gathering of 100. The Monroe County Health Department has advised us to follow this order.

Based on this information, the event scheduled for Saturday, August 15 at Flat Rock Speedway is cancelled.

While the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic in our area is not promising, we are making one final effort to put together a plan to race at both tracks as the season winds down.

We will have a decision on or before Monday, August 17.

Our position, as it has been from the start of this issue, is to stay positive, safe and healthy and we ask you to do the same.
