SCHEDULE UPDATES FOR FLAT ROCK, TOLEDO; PRIVATE TESTING APPROVED TO BEGIN

May 14, 2020:  With the recently-announced Executive Orders to extend the “Stay Safe, Stay Home” until May 28 from both Michigan and Ohio Governor’s offices, and most importantly taking into account the health and safety of our fans, sponsors, race teams and officials, both Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway’s 2020 racing schedules have been updated, and will continue to do so as further governmental and healthcare guidance is provided.

The Saturday, June 6 Great Inflatable Race run is now canceled; it will be rescheduled for the 2021 season on approximately the same date.

The Saturday, June 13 Rusty Wallace Racing Experience is canceled.

The Saturday, June 13 race date is canceled.

The Sunday, June 14 TKC Go-Kart Club event at Flat Rock is canceled.

PRIVATE TESTING APPROVED TO BEGIN AT FLAT ROCK AND TOLEDO

Flat Rock Speedway has been granted permission by the Monroe County Health Department (and is in communication with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department and Ash Township officials) for private testing at the track effective Tuesday, May 19.

Toledo Speedway has been granted permission by the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department (and is in communication with Toledo Police Department, Toledo City Council and the Lucas County Board of Commissioners) for private testing at the track effective Tuesday, May 19.

4-hour blocks ONLY will be available. Times are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. A 1-page outline of the testing procedures is located on the track’s webpage under Driver Info. All items listed will be STRICTLY adhered to, including until further notice local and state COVID-19 Healthcare Guidelines. Please call Scott at (734) 782-2480 or (419) 727-1100 to arrange a time.

“The approval for limited private testing provides us an initial phase of activity. The goal, with governmental and healthcare guidance and permission, is to then phase into open practice days, and eventually proposed racing events with a percentage of overall seating capacity allowed in the grandstands,” said Ron Drager, Owner and Promoter of the tracks.  “Both Michigan and Ohio Governors have issued guidances stating public gatherings of large sizes will be among the last activities permitted to resume. Our strategy is to be as ready as possible for that time, but in all cased to proceed gradually, safely and only with approval. Due to the uncertainty of specific dates for future racing events, the advance sale of tickets for general public attendance at all events has been suspended until further notice.”

We are committed to providing timely updates, which will be posted on the tracks’ websites and Facebook page as they become available. **The next schedule update is scheduled for on or about May 30.

Jay,

We are checking on this.  It is the 2020 Track Rental rates document on either home page under the Racer Info. tab.  Click it on, the pdf box appears on bottom of the page, then click that on and open it....should work....let me know.

Thanks,

Scott
