2020 FLAT ROCK/TOLEDO SPEEDWAY BULLETIN (3-30-20)

2020 FLAT ROCK/TOLEDO SPEEDWAY BULLETIN (3-30-20)

We pray that this finds you, your family and friends healthy and safe during these times.  We expect to be making some decisions very soon on the early part of our schedules due to the COVID-19 virus and the mandates in place from the State of Michigan, State of Ohio and the Federal government.

We are following the guidelines set for businesses and will continue to do so as updates are provided.  One thing we will not do is rush into the season when business is allowed to return to “normal”.  Check the website and facebook for updates.

ENDURO ENTRY BLANKS are posted under the Racer Info. Tab on the Flat Rock home page.  We will be mailing them out soon.

The Vault Antiques and Treasures ARCA Factory Stock division point system will include both races at Flat Rock (July 11, September 5) as well as the 6 (six) events at Toledo (May 16, May 29, July 17, August 8, August 14 and October 4).  The Vault ARCA Enduro championship will be a separate point system as in the past, with 4-250 lap races on the schedule at Flat Rock for the 2020 season.

Moran Chevrolet’s ARCA Flat Rock Speedway Late Model division bonus award program for 2020 features an opportunity for every team that competes in the “weekly” shows at Flat Rock to collect one of the bonus awards.

On seven (7) of the track’s selected 50 lap feature races (May 2, May 9, May 30, June 6, June 27, July 25, August 15), two (2) tires will be awarded in a random draw.  The feature race winner of that night will draw the winner’s name.  A driver can only win this award one time during the 2020 season.

Moran Chevrolet has also added a 4-tire award program for the Joy Fair Memorial 100.  The program continues for the Moran Chevrolet Stan Yee Memorial 150 July 18.  The new criteria for the 4 tires at each of these two races is the winner, in a random draw, will be a driver that qualifies outside the top 10 for that race.

The Moran Chevrolet $50 Hard Charger (Most Improved positions) Award continues in 2020, as will the Moran Chevy bonus money on the Harris Mechanical Season Championship Night August 22.  $300, $200 and $100 will be added to the payout for the top 3 finishers in the final point race of the year, respectively.

Five Star Racecar Bodies returns as a contingency awards sponsor for both the ARCA DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stock and the ARCA R & M Recycling Late Model Sportsman class.  A pair of $500 certificates will be given out at the track’s annual awards banquet for each division.  For 2020, the decal is to be placed at the top of the fender in front of the front wheel.

TIRES:  Tire availability will be announced soon for both Flat Rock and Toledo.  *The Flat Rock office will be staffed daily---stay tuned for the exact date. Hoosier Late Model tires are $147 each and the Hoosier D800 tires are $122 each for the 2020 season.
