TOLEDO’S NIGHT OF DESTRUCTION RE-SET FOR THIS FRIDAY!
Toledo Speedway roars back into action this Friday night, August 24 with the rescheduled “Night of Destruction”, featuring the School Bus Figure 8 race. The event, sponsored by Lakeshore Utility Trailer Sales and PlayZone of Toledo was postponed due to rain last Friday night. All tickets dated for August 17 will be honored August 24.
The advance ticket sale will continue this week and tickets may still be obtained by calling the track office at 419-727-1100 Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cash and most major credit cards are accepted. The advance sale ends Thursday night, August 23 at 5 p.m. Phone orders also end at 5 p.m. Thursday.
Tickets will then go back on sale race day when the ticket office and front gates open on race day, Friday, August 24 at 5 p.m. ALL seating is general admission, first-come, first-serve.
A rain date of Saturday, August 25 has been established if needed.
The entire race card of events that was postponed last Friday will be run August 24. In addition to the School Bus Figure 8 race, fans will be entertained with the Boat Figure 8 race and Flag Pole races.
Fans will also get to see the 2018 track champion crowned for the ARCA Aramark Late Model Sportsman class, which competes on the fast ½ mile paved oval. Howard Kelley Jr., Tom O’Leary IV and Jim Froling are the top 3 going into Friday night, with Kelly holding a 10 point edge on O’Leary and 20 markers on Froling.
17 year old Ethan Stadniczuk is up 5 points on Jacob Thomas, 10 better than Craig Osenbaugh and 35 points ahead of Matt Ringger in the battle for the ARCA Factory Stock title on the short track at Toledo.
The front gates and ticket office open at 5, race car practice begins at 5:30, bus rides for the kids start at 6:45 and show time is 7:30 p.m. Parking is free on the track grounds. No coolers, cans or bottles are permitted in the spectator grandstand area.
